Boss Lippsman, question and help with a Dell laptop please

right hinge is very tough to move ( remember I broke the bezel a few months ago ? )
 
Am ready to order this replacement
but screws NOT included
 
whole right side is fubar, no screws left in....
I need to order more screws, but, have no idea what size...
 
Can you help?

The only way is to take out the ones on the left side, grab a big drink and go down to your local hardware store.
 
Sometimes you can get lucky and find a kit on Ebay, but as of a few minutes ago I didn't see one listed.  But give this guy a yell.  I'm sure there are other screw kits that will fit the exact model you have

Well how bout' this.  One of the techs just tapped me on the shoulder and had a inspiron 1520 in his hands.
 
Looks like they are M2.5 x 8-mm.  You should be able to get those from a hardware store.  But you will have to look a bit.  I usually just get the oldest most grizzled guy at the store to help.

Have you heard about hinge(s) going bad?
 
I've had laptops since 1999, and this is the first time I have ever had this type of problem.

Once in awhile we will get a broken hinge, but usually it's because of some sort of shot the laptop took.
