Please excuse me for ending anyones believe in the so called "systems" approach to handicapping sports wagering. match-ups,(which can become very complicated, and intense) situational play, and valued line movement; are the key ingredients to dedicated handicappers with &#x2B;units to indicate their success.&#xD;&#xA;Chasing a team for a win, means simply that you are wagering on a losing proposistion that you feel cannot continue to lose! this is not handicapping, you have now entered fairytale land, and flipping a coin will give you the same results. the devil is in detail, so I&#x27;ll refrain from going into the many negative scenerios regarding &#xD;&#xA;system play. Winning is difficult, trying to proof you have a system that wins is non-existent in sports handicapping..

yeah big dealthats the disclaimer anyone includes before they start explaining any chase systemwhy is the thread title all screwed up ?long term chasing is not goodeveryone knows that but take a look at the different variations around this forum and you&#x27;ll see that its much more involved than that nothing new here ... move along

Sportbooks know that ANY method of betting eventually fails in the long term for gamblers.  But there are good and bad systems in the short term.  Martingale money management could be profitable for a minority but not a majority of people.  In life, successful people use systems because they may be better than the alternative of random luck.

Martingale systems work for one reason - luck. There is no other way to win using them. This is a proven fact.

The key to success with Martingale system is to avoid a long losing streak.  Not impossible for a minority of people.  Otherwise a risky system for the few capable of making clutch bets.
