I did some number crunching. There have been 47 OT games out of 177 so
far this year. If had you bet all of them, it would bring a small profit.
Each night if you bet all games to tie in regulation, you would need at least
25% of the games to tie to make a profit, although small. So far this year in total it has hit at just over 26% at 26.55.
Example: 12 game schedule, 3 games tie.
3 games = 330+340+360 = 1030 = 10.3 units - 9 units (lost on games that did not tie) = 1.3 unit profit.
So far Saturday nights have been pretty good (excluding the opener in Europe) (using +340 as a conservative average payout)
10/11 = 13 games, with 4 ties. 4 x 340 = (13.60 - 9) = 4.60 unit profit
10/18 = 13 games, with 6 ties. 6 x 340 = (20.4 - 7) = 13.4 unit profit (wow)
10/25 = 15 games, with 5 ties. 5 x 340 = (17 - 10) = 7 unit profit
11/1 = 12 games, with 3 ties. 3 x 340 = (10.2 - 9) = 1.2 unit profit (OK not so great here but a profit nonetheless)
Betting $100 at about a +340 (conservative) or so average, the system would be
up $2980 (or 29.8 units) after a month and a bit so far. I'm not sure if its worth it but
it is something to look at. Well I guess being up $2980 is worth it, but we'll see if this stands the test of time. I'll keep track of it and hopefully it works out. One would expect as the the season goes on and positioning for playoffs becomes more prevalent, the games would get tighter.
Some days have been great with 3 ties out of 5 but some have been brutal with the worst being 1 OT in 12 games but this is obviously a long term betting system. I wouldn't recommend betting on this yet. I am going to wait about a week or so before I jump in just to make sure. Maybe betting Saturday nights is the key, I don't know. Either way we'll see what transpires.
Please feel free to contribute on this. I don't sleep much so let me know if I made any errors. Thanks guys.

You were right TB. Each of the last two years the percentage of OT games has hovered around 22-23% which is not good.
Maybe we can tweak the system. Such as increasing the bets after a loss...or maybe wait for a day with no ties, then chase until there's a profit. We'll see how this season goes.

Meaning start betting and chasing after a day with no ties. The most days without ties so far is 2 and that was from the last game in Europe to the start in North America on the 9th of October.

I would say all of them. As for now it seems at the end of each week there has been a profit as OT games have become an inevitability throughout the first month.

Yea it sucks, I need to somehow get some money in 5dimes. I have an account but never funded it. The only good about my book is I don't have to post up.

I don't recommend to bet all draws straight. Odds are adjusted according to % of draws. So if you bet all draws, it won't make money.
I developped a program for picking draws and you all know the record. Feel free to contact me about system. you can contact me by prohandicapperservice@windowslive.com
Picks for tonight: (Major plays) WAS-CAR DRAW FLA-LA DRAW
Major plays are +11.5 units since 1 November (+1.150$ if you're bettng 100$ each game) also I like to test some minor plays as well. Lets see their performance as well.
Minor plays are Atl-Nyi, Col-Min, Nyr-Tb, Pit-Edm, Clg-Nas, Bos-Tor.
Beating books is possible. All you need is a good system.
GL everyone!

The guys that work at 5dimes are in here reading these covers posts. Guarantee that its only a matter of time before they adjust these odds down to where you can't make money on this system. It always happens. Books find out about these things and make adjustments. Just look at what happened to the football correlation parlays. Can't find a book out there that lets you bet them anymore.
