if team a is -5 and the majority of the public is on them but the line moves to -4.5 or lower there is more money on team b. I could be wrong but I think the Jets, Ravens and Chiefs were all plays and all covered? Miami is another. As of two days ago? Not a system to rely on but one that could factor into a decision

Miami is not but the Eagles seem to be, the line opened up at Pitt -3/33.5 and sportsbook.com has 65% of public on the Steelers the line should go up -3.5 or -4 but it is @ PK. I know the arguementof Vegas not actually giving us this info but... the play seems to be Philly PK or better

I don't know if I like the idea of getting the worst price. You'd need to act quick before the line moved too much and then see the line keep moving. Sounds tough.

Line movements certainly have validity but do not trust "public play" figures. The numbers you see are only a sample size and the sportsbooks who provide those numbers are under no obligation to do so accurately.
Also, percentage numbers are vague. Say 65% of the public is on a team in Game A while 55% are on a team in Game B. Theoretically, there could be more money on the 55% simply by having more of the betting public playing that game. The book may care more about that 55% than the other game with 65% play.
if you want to learn more on line movements, come visit our site ( you can get our link on our covers space). We deal exclusively in line movement behavior and feel it is the best barometer to target vulnerable lines. The moves are important, not the public play figures.

I have studied consensus and line movements for years and years trying to find a way to profit consistently, and I am now convinced this is not the way to go.
Yes you can go on a significant run, and I have at times. But in doing so, you develop a strong confidence in the system and soon it turns on you so you can lose all you gained.
Happens over and over again.

the line movement concept came from about 14 years ago when the original wise guys would bet their "steam" and all the numbers offshore and land based would move almost simutaniously, and these were the games to bet on, i know because i was on them before the line moved. eventually the casinos realised that these live line services that were carrying their casinos were showing everyone who bought the live service, from donbest or jim feist, these customers would see the steam moves and would blast the casions, so now these casinos were actually cutting off their own balls. so now the casions move games thats arent steam just to generate action and even move a game the opposite way just to get you to bet against the steam, but you actually think your on the steam. following line movements are a thing of the past. good luck boys.
