"in play" money making system

I touched on this another thread...This is what I do;

For this to work, you need a book that accepts in play selections, (the greek, pinnacle...others??)

Example, yesterday, mil @ clips -4.0

I took mil moneyline at +185 when they were down 10 in the first quarter, then, when they were ahead by 4 later in the game, I took clips +100. So, no matter what I broke even. This tends to work fairly well on games that stay close, especially if you can get the favorite at +money early.

Often, I am thinking last week's miami @ okc game, in the fourth quarter alone, you could get either team +money (I actually seen up to +175 both sides).

Does this make sense?

Has anyone ever tried a strategy like this?

Thoughts, suggestions?

Okay, another example from last night, to show how profitable this can be;

I got boston at +115 when they were down by 9 to Sac, ($100 to win $115) These are the great situations. You know boston being down by 9 in the first half means nothing, and if you are watching the game, and know they are at least going to pull it close again, then you will get plus money. Even if the fav is still down, you will often get decent plus money lines!

later in the game, I took sac +155. Because I thought boston would win (I was watching the game), I only bet $70 to win $108.5, but be 100% profitable, I had to make the bet.

Had Sac won, I would be up $8.5

Because bos won, I won $45.

Just to explain 110%;

bet 100 on boston moneyline to win 115

bet 70 on sac moneyline to win 108.5

Boston won

Total bet 170, total return 215

profit = $45

If anyone has any questions, I will check back in here time to time. I have used this strategy 8 times now and counting. I will also be refunding a second book that has in play, so that i can bet both sides without attracting too much attention.

Arbitrageurs (colloquially "arbers") attempt to simultaneously bet on all possible outcomes to make a guaranteed profit.

I feel like a newbie....I am just learning about betting exchanges now. I can't believe this isn't discussed more often on covers! I have a ton of trials to run now. Any of you bet exchanges?

Sportsinteraction is another live-wager site I recommend to try and do what your doing.  There regular lines are terrible, however.

Hey guys, came to finish this thread off;

Made a small profit doing this the last few weeks. The money is definitely there, but there are a few issues;

- only bet365 has good live betting, others are missing games, and often unexplicably pull their lines off the board. how long will the book let me bet both sides of the game, screwing them out of their juice?

- It is nerve racking! You need to fully involved in the game, ready to pull the trigger in a second, often times betting a large portion of your bankroll, for a small profit

- you are screwed if the phone rings, your internet goes does, you need a piss, etc. If you miss that plus money on the opposite side, kiss your profit goodbye

- You often need the favorites to be down by alot (10+pts), just to get the dogs at even money on the moneyline. You take a big risk that they will make a comeback.

Basically, there is money to be made. I just don't have the time, patience, or bankroll to make this truly profitable. Also, if you start betting hundreds of $$, arbering a game, it is only so long before they cut you off. You would almost need to have 2 accounts with bet365, and play from each, but again, time.

The trick is pick your spots. If you ever notice Boston down by 12-16 pts in the first half to washington, then bet that. Boston will be +140 on the moneyline, wait untill they are up by 5 in the second half, and bet wash at +180 moneyline.

Good teams being down early to bad teams. Money to be made.
