A couple of weeks ago I thought I saw someone who had the idea that seemed to make some sense. The concept was to do a 3 game cahse on any systems C play. It did not matter which forum or which sport or which poster, if there was a "C" play you'd play it as an "A" play and if it won you won, if it lost you'd wait for the next "C" play and play it as a "B" play and if that lost you'd play the next "C" play as a "C" play. In other words, all your playing is "C" plays from various systems and the theory as I understood it, was that these tend win a much higher %. I have not seen that thread so If anyone sees any "C" plays from any system, feel free to post them here and I will try to keep track if there is any interest.

this is what I am doing with NHL and soccer. You will assure yourself that you will find that team who will go 6 or 7 games deep - if it happens during a season - but I think you will close out chases if you're selective on your initial bets.
I labby it so those teams that go fairly deep won't kill me.
I think it will be much stronger than starting every single series. I've been fairly successful the past few years in betting money lines on the strongest and weakest teams, and teams with lopsided O/U records all season long. One chase after another. Not any team, I'm selective.
I think starting my chases later, as you suggest, will be even more profitable. So if Washington Caps lose 2 or 3 in a row, I'll chase them down, or Atlanta Thrashers hits 3 unders in a row, I'll start the chase there - I won't continually bet Wash to win, or Atlanta to hit overs like I had in the past. Maybe it's a wash labby'ing it, I dunno. I used a modified Martingale previously and did well the last 2 seasons betting everything - I think this is going to be better.
I'll take a soccer team who is, let's say 14-5 O/U, and has gone on a 3 game under streak, and I'll start betting the overs. All soccer O/U are 2.5. I review literally the entire world each Monday morning. We'll see how it goes. I've been burned by straight chases in soccer, holding off for 3 consecutive 'losses' might do the trick. In 2 years of betting soccer, 5 has been the max streak, being selective of the teams I bet on. I guess I'll see how it goes.

Just so it's clear. Phoenix is a "C" play for someone's system, right? If so, and there are none for tonight, Phoenix becomes an "A" play for our "C" play chase.

That bet 2838 was a 6th bet with +205 odds. In addition to win back all the previous losses, it brought back about 50 more units. If he had went perfect in all the above picks the profit would have been still less than of what it is now.
This system is good because of the odds and because of the fact that you dont chase after 6 games. It is controlled martingale. If you lose 6 in a row, you start over from the beginning. You will end up hitting few 4th, 5th and 6th games before losing 6 in a row, so with those big odds the rate of you doubling the bankroll is much higher than losing 6 in a row. In that stretch of picks in only two weeks he doubled the bankroll.
'The trick is to keep the unit size same through out. some people add the winnings to their bankroll and they will keep increasing the unit size with the hope of more profit, this wont work because when you lose 6 in a row you will end up losing more since you kept increasing the unit size.
if you keep the unit size fixed this will be profitable even if you average one 6 game losing streak each month--assuming that you use the picks from mrmartingale because he uses lot of big odd games and hits them good.

i made a full year subscription to mrmartingale (series 1 picks) couple of months ago when he ran a promotion where you could get the full year at the cost of 6 months.
