I think your ignorant ass needs an explanation.
Today I played Chicago -1, here are the numbers why it has a 50% chance to win or fail.
Since 1996, when the opening line was -1.5 but closed at -1:
The home underdog has covered the spread 120 times, while the road favorite covered the spread 119 times.
Over the last 3 seasons, when the opening line was -1.5 but closed at -1:
Over the last 3 seasons, the road favorite has covered the spread 29 times, while the home underdog covered the spread 24 times.
Hell, I even got with the totals
Since 1996 when the closing line was -1 and closing total 190.5:
The road favorite has covered the spread 16 times, while the home underdog covered the spread 16 times
This means, it doesnt even matter for the bookies when tons of gamblers think a team have the edge and load lot's of money, so much that the line changes.
Statistically they have the edge on their side.
