Have been looking into getting some sort of computer software program or subscribing to a website that you can use to create your own power rankings to try and come up with my own lines and compare to the lines at the books and look for discrepencies.
Anyone know of any decent software programs or websites that you can create your own power rankings and creat your own line for games?

here is what you do. Go to predictiontracker.com. Download the data into an excel spreadsheet. Determine which data/cappers info you want to use as part of your formula. The site details each cappers winnning % so you can use that to decide which data to use. I have spreadsheets set up for the nba and college and pro football. its loads of fun.

I have been working on an Excel program for over 2 years now that looks at certain data and computes who should cover. Since I have spent so many hours working on this I am not revealing my programs premise. The outcome predictor (spreads only) was almost 70% for college football this season and certain trends in the NFL were in the 60% range. Since I am still working on my theories to apply to my Excel calculations and filters, this is a work in progress. I have recently began applying some of my theories to NBA and NCAA basketball but since this is a daily thing rather than weekly like football, I have become fatigued doing all the work myself. I have found some success in NBA, less so in NCAA basketball (due to the volume of matchups).
I would like to talk to others who have used Excel in a possible effort to collaborate. I am very experienced in Excel and am not looking for help in databasing. I am more interested in visiting a new angle of how Excel databasing is used for others.
