NHL Reg System

Well this is a simple easy to follow system which has given good results so far this season...if anyone is already posting this system my apologies, i dont wish to take credit away from anyone and i will stop posting...Its simple and one play a day.....most of the time we will be betting on the supposed elite teams...the bruins, nucks, red wings....hoping they can take care of business in reg time....of course we all know it doesnt always work out that way in hockey...but we can hope....

NHL Regulation Chase

Look for the top fav of the day

play them -0.5 in regulation time

chase for 3 games...

rules:

use Pinnacle opening lines to find the fav(ml +ot)...opening line seems to be more successful than closing line

dont play the system if only one game that day

if more than one fav at same price then use closing line

average odds are between +110 - 130....biggest line so far has been Vancouver -137

Results : 2011/12 season..YTD 34-1....just over 24 units

system is on a good streak at the minute with the 5 wins in a row.....lets hope it continues and the first post curse doesnt strike tonight....

starting fresh clean slate...it doesnt matter whats happened already and its no guarantee success will continue....lines are correct on pinnacle at time of posting..a win last night with Boston (opened as ml fav -177, we got it for -0.5 +103) so we start with an A bet....

nicely done gent. ytd the system has one lose. when was it? maybe you can add a filter to avoid the next lose

it's funny I actually just thought if this myself and you posted it recently.  I think this will be a great system to chase, but I think the chase should be for up to 5 games at least.

or even unlimited chase.

On December 2, I mentioned a similar system on this forum entitled "top favorite NHL system."  In recent weeks, mostly one game losing streaks.  According to a veteran who used this system for MLB, no betting in first and last month of season because weird things tend to happen more often. 

5 wins in a row?  Who did you bet on Dec 13?  Cause covers shows the top 3 ML odds van,tor,fla all games went to overtime which would be a loss

i dont really want to get into any negativity on this thread if possible, if this system helps anyone gain a few units then great...thats what its about....so to answer you Hectar....

on Tues 13 Dec i bet Boston Bruins -0.5 at +103.....they opened as top fav on pinny at -177....check it out if you dont believe me....they were top fav...not tor,not van,not flo....the system is currently on a 7 win streak...here are those results hectar....

There we go....systems on a good run, it wont last, nothing ever does....i am trying to be honest and started this thread from 0-0 despite decent season results..i didnt start at 34-1..frankly thats doesnt matter...you guys only judge on posted results as do i...i only mentioned the season results to give an idea of how the systems progressing....at the end of the season then it can be judged as a success or not....i am not trying to fool anyone....hope this answers your question Hectar.....

Air1....a filter of maybe not playing the first month maybe something to look at...like thirdperson mentions on a mlb system later...the system loss came 25-27 oct when the Flyers lost that C et in the crazy 9-8 against Winn...

Riceboi.... i wish i had the bankroll for a longer chase...actually i settled on 3 games as with these odds being quite low i tried to keep a system loss to around single digit units...

thirdperson....i thought about a top fav nhl system myself but just couldnt pay those prices...-200 etc in a 3 game chase is asking for real trouble...hence i thought that still getting the big fav but with a time limit was better option better than the PL -1.5 or -1....you mention an MLB system similar to this...do you know what the guy bet to reduce the top fav juice in MLB...-1, -1.5 or 1st 5 innings?...and how he did?

Thanks EG!  All good my man.  Funny how the odds change so much.  Just wondering with you system loss, 3 losses in a row, was the next day a winner or were there more losses like did it go 4 or 5 losses in a row?

No Hectar the next day lost as well....i am sure it was Colorado who lost without looking back....i remember the 3 game loss so well cause of that 9-8 game...anyway it lost on the 4th game but won on the 5th...

actually thinking out loud i wonder if this system may work better using a labby for money management...as there have been a few streaks which would clear out the lines....

anyway..

 

Mr Gent, of your 34 wins so far in the system how many were straight up wins and how many did you have to chaes roughly? how many went to the third game?

Anyone know a site I can use to backtest his system for past nhl seasons?

I'm thinking I may try your system but reduce the unit size ($10-20 per unit) but do a longer chase say to 5 games at least maybe unlimited.

its has gone to a C bet 7 times with 1 loss

out of the 36 series wins 20 have been on the A bet

longest losing streak...4 games

was on chicago last night, sharks tonight.

My first pick for this system was chicago so for me the system is 1-0.

sharks cover,

2-0 for me.

Sharks win a close one to push the streak to 9.....still a good start on covers posted plays....let hope for another...

i will post todays play and update later once the books release the line for the Vancouver game....

Once again the Blackhawks are good to us with a 4-2 win. Overall the system is performing well and the win streak is now at 10 in a row with 5 of those posted on covers...

Might be better to skip October until the teams sort themselves out.

My figures which are for the whole season suggests skipping the A and B bets.

I'll work through the last 2 years and let you know what I come up with
