We lose  15u on 1 loss so the system would be -5 units?

I could be wrong and not following correctly, and I'm sure losses will recoup with it's consistency, just asking, thanks

We had a 3 game loss, not 4. The lines for that were something like -190, -130 and -140. So that's 1.9 units on game 1, 3.77 on game 2 and 9.46 on game 3 for a total of 15.12. So if you just played it straight you'd be down roughly 5.12 units.

After the Dallas loss, I've been playing to win 3 units. With 8 series to go at that point, I wanted to pick up 2 extra units to make up for that loss, plus an additional 1 on each. I've picked up 6 of those lost 15 units so far. I'm personally up 1 total unit. We have 5 plays left, so I'll just back it off to a normal 1 unit chase.

The juice on this system is tough to handle. Might not play it next year.

DR - question totally unrelated to this system... going back to the shutout system from last season curious what the total units you ended up? I know mid-season labby lines had you up quite a bit so wondered what the final tally was?

If you are referring to the baseball shutout system, that isn't mine, it is run by Allison Road. I missed some plays and moved some umbers around so what I ended up with wouldn't be a good indicator of how the system did on a labby line. I was around the 100 unit mark but think it would have done better had I been able to bet all the games.

Awesome thanks man, yes Im referring to ARs shutout from last yr. Makes total sense. Looking back would you change the way you ran your labby lines at all or keep it the same?

Doing the labby lines on each individual line was just my way of doing it. Takes the risk out of a 5 game chase, but the results on ARs system speak for themselves. Despite a couple of system losses still a 100+ unit profit is great. I'm just a little risk adverse to chase something for 5 games on Martingale. That being said, there is a lot of work and manipulation to run all the different lines. I guess it's a matter of preference.

How many units would you say you safely need to allocate to run the shutout system again on labby lines? 50-75 units enough?

10 units per line with the ability to move numbers around should be good.

I know it's Monday but just a reminder that Tuesday we have A games on Winnipeg (fade Van) and Arizona (fade Edm).

We have a total of 5 more plays including the ones above.

With the high winning percentage of the plays all you need is a 1 line Labby. Just trust it and go. Seems like easy money this season at least.

Cant ever just trust a system and go. Invariably, chance creeps in to test your mettle. Need to be able to adapt to conditions on the fly. A very esteemed colleague of mine always says to expect half the performance and double the drawdown of a backtested system. Play accordingly.

Just a FYI for anyone still following. I will not be playing the Chicago series. They have very little to play for and are without Crawford and more importantly Duncan Keith. I'll take what profit I had and save my bankroll for baseball rather than risk any of it here.

Will still count it as an official play for the record but bettor beware.

i agree with you Dan. Chicago is kind of limping right now. I'm going to play this last series as a two game chase since Boston is in a slump and Arizona is a terrible road team. Maybe I'll pick up a unit. If not the loss will be minimal.

All in all, another great year for this system. Thanks again for leading the way on this one.

With Chicago taking care of business on the A game, the system is done for the year. The one loss was disappointing but overall I made some profit with the help of the A game success. Thanks to all that followed.

    • Current season: 15-1
    • Overall tracking: 66-2

    • A: 12-4
    • B: 1-3

Dan - Are you going to post / play this system this year? Not a lot of plays, but like your others, very solid.

We have 10 teams that qualify and a total of 19 plays. I will list the teams and dates that each series start below. Since we will be looking at very high odds, I'll personally be running a labby line with much lower amounts than I would normally play. A 3-4 game chase with high odds is rather daunting. Of course, play as you see fit, just wanted to say how I was doing it.

Also, I will be adding something new this year. Using the same series, I will also play on the -1.5 PL. I'll do this on a labby line which I'll show. Could be a fun experiment with +odds.

    Bet on

    • Was: Feb 5, Mar 2, Mar 21
    • Clb:   Feb 9,
    • Pitt:   Mar 24
    • NYR: Feb 5
    • Minn: Feb 8, Mar 21
    • SJ:     Mar 9, Apr 4

    Bet against

    • NJ:    Mar 7
    • Dal:   Feb 12, Mar 12, Mar 26
    • Colo: Feb 11, Feb 28
    • AZ:    Feb 13, Feb 28, Mar 20

Dan, will you play these Moneyline or something else (+puckline as you mentioned)? As you mentioned that "Since we will be looking at very high odds, I'll personally be running a labby line with much lower amounts than I would normally play.". Moneyline sounds like not that high odds for these games so I might have understood wrong...

How does your labby line look like normally? As I am not that familiar with the concept. I mean if I normally bet 10 bucks per game, should mine be like 10-10-10-10? Where I bet first 20, if I win it'll be 10-10, I bet 20, if I lose it will be 10-10-20, I bet 30, if I lose it will be 10-10-20-30, I bet 40, if I wil it will be 10-20 and so on. Have I understood that right? Never used it so Im a bit unsure.

Scrivero, I will be running my labby lines with 4 numbers, each being 1/2 of my normal bet. So if was a $10 bettor the line would be 5-5-5-5

The bet is to win that amount so if a game is -150 you'd bet $15 to win 10. If that loses, add 15 to end of line andnext bet is to win 20.

That's how I do for each game (A-D), so if a team happens to lose 3-4 games you aren't compounding their losses, just whatever the line happens to be at. Everyone does their own thing but this has worked for me in the past on high juice systems. Less profit potential than Martingale but less risk too.

I also need to run a test on the -1.5 PL system. Year one hit my goal early but continued pay ended up badly. Need to back test the last 2 years. Will report back soon.
