Yeah it would break up the 5 games into groups of 3. Your buy-in will increase, but you only need to hit 3 to break

It would be 10 wagers consisting of:

ABC, ABD, ABE,
ACD, ACE
ADE
BCD, BCE
BDE
CDE

Even if you only won the 3 lowest odds (even, 1.30, 1.35) you would make a tiny profit. If you hit 4 you win big, and it you hit all 5 you win even more.
The only way you lose is if you only win 2 of the games.

If your book doesn't allow Round Robins on 1st inning bets, then you can still just do all 10 as individual bets.

I love Round Robins when you have 4 or 5 Dogs on a night and you think at least 3 will win.
