NBA playoffs system

As I noted in a different post (Chaser's dog chase), the last 3 years in the NBA playoffs, an underdog has covered the spread at least once in all 15 series each year. 45-0 over 3 years with 1 series going to game 6, 1 to game 5 and 3 to game 4. So 89% won within the first 3 games. Here is the breakdown by game:

Game 1: 23-22

Game 2: 8-14

Game 3: 9-5

Game 4: 3-2

Game 5: 1-1

Game 6: 1-0


I'm going to run this on an aggressive labby line (no adding numbers unless the numbers get too big). Goal is to win 20 units and then call it.

The numbers below represent 1 unit, so adjust accordingly. If betting to win 2 units is too much, use 1/2 unit for each of the numbers.

After thinking this over, I'm changing the lines to show actual dollars. It will make it easier to add and divide the numbers. Using $10 as unit size, adjust for personal bankroll. All bets today are $22 to win $20

I guess the only game for tonight is Memphis +4 to win $80. I started from half so Im in to win $40. Gotta go to sleep so I hope I got the right handicap.

I spread the ATL loss between the remaining numbers so I have it at to win $52.

We have completed 7 of the 8 series with only Atlanta left. I'm pretty much thinking we take our 4.49 unit profit and wait to play the next round. Thoughts?

Also, I'm not sure the labby line is the best play here. Probably going to a pure chase per series in next round.

We would have won today on Atlanta but that's ok. All teams cleared. On to round two. Will be doing a straight chase per series.

Disregard my post above, the play would have been Wash not Atlanta. Sorry about that. We would have lost and the chase would have continued. Even more happy that we just took our profit for this round.

For anyone still playing this...

Utah covered in Game 1 +1 unit

Houston covered in Game 1 +1 unit

Toronto +7.5 tonight (shop around) bet to win 2 units (down 1.1 so far)

Will be on Boston tomorrow +points. We are down 3.3 units on this one. Will be betting to win 4.

We started this second round up 4.49 units, so we currently stand at +2.09 and chasing the last 2 series.
