Well we all know that it's never a bad move to bet against the public money, in fact it's usually a very good move. But I wanted to know how good it would be.
So, I tracked every NBA game so far this year that had a 75% or higher consensus, and bet on the other team (which always was the underdog too which is cool)
I found the non-consensus pick covers most of the time, and about half the time, even wins outright, meaning it was a great ML pick :)
Anyway, here are the findings...
ATS17-11 +4.9uML14-14 +7u (approx)Note: I can't give an exact +units for ML because wagerline doesn't show us the ML for NBA, so I took an estimate of +150 on each game, which seemed about right according to other sites.
So yup there's the second system I've found recently, I've already posted one of my NHL ones in the NHL forum, will post here too in a bit, and I'll post more systems and finding in the near future, good luck to everyone :)
I've tried this for others sports too, including NHL and NCAAB. In NHL, there are an extremely low amount of games that go to 75% on one side, and the NCAAB results came back with no good trend, meaning this seems to only work very well for NBA.
