NBA 5 point teasers

I have been trying a system out for the past week that I have tracked since January 1st. I am 9-2 since I have betted this system. It involves taking the point spread of a game and tease it 5 points. I am 8-1 on 2 and 3 team teasers and 0-1 on a 5 team teaser (hit 4 of 5). I have tracked (since January 1) all NBA games and their spreads. I only bet on games that have at least a 3-1 ratio of wins over losses (at the teased point spread), If it is less than this, then I do not bet the game. I think I am going to limit the teaser to no more than three teams. For example, since January 1, a home team that is favored  by 5 1/2 points (10 1/2 after teaser) is 18-2. The visiting team that is a 5 1/2 point underdog (1/2 after the teaser) is 10-10 in the same time span. In this case, I take the home team. If a home team is favored by 1 1/2 points for example, I will not bet the game. With this spread the home favorite is 10-7 and the road dog is 11-6. I Only bet if the ratio of wins to losses is at least 3-1. There is no sure thing, but I have been having luck so far.

 

There are a lot of games tonight that fall into this category.

 

Cavs (-7 1/2)

Warriors (+14 1/2)

 

I am grouping these into 3 teasers, a three team and two 2 teams,

3 team teaser pays 75$ on a 50$ bet. (BETUS)

2 team teaser pays 38.50$ on a 50$ bet.

Correction: The 5 1/2 point home favorite dropped to (-1/2), not +10 1/2 and the 5 1/2 point road dog jumps to +10 1/2, (not +1/2). Sorry for the mistake. The records are still the same though.

I just realized that I said my W/L record was 9-2 before tonight. It is 8-2. I had hit 29 out of 31 bets, and I am up 8 units before tonight.

Are u going with the 5.5 point opening line (in your above example)?

Yes, a -5 1/2 point home favorite will tease to -1/2 point. I have no plays for tonight yet. The only good line so far is Bulls -5 1/2. That line is 18-2 since January 1 for a home team with that spread. Will wait to see if the other lines change. The Portland line of -6 1/2 is only 13-6 for a home team and Phoenix +6 1/2 is 11-8 for the visiting team. Detroit +8 1/2 is 1-2 for a home team and Lakers -8 1/2 is 2-1. I try to have at least a 3 to 1 ratio of wins to losses. Will check lines later.

Tonight I am teasing the Bulls (- 5 1/2) and the Pistons (+ 9) . So I actually have the Bulls (- 1/2) and the Pistons (+ 14). Those odds are on sportsbetting.com

After last night, (went 2-1)  my parlay record is 10-3, and have hit 31 out of 34 games. Up 9 units since March 15.

Lost last nights 2 team parlay by 1 lousy point, making my record 10-4, hitting 32 of 36 games.

Hit all 7 games tonight, winning both teasers. Record stands at 12-4, winning 39 of 43 games. Up 11 units since March 15.

Was out of town for the weekend, hitting 1 out of 2 (4 team parlays), and losing a 3 team parlay, and pushing a 2 team parlay.

This brings my parlay record to (13 - 6 - 1), with  individual

game record at (49 - 6 - 1). This still leaves me at +11 units, since the 4 team parlay payed 2 - 1.

Like the thread here...played a few 5pt teasers this year, but handicapping the games a little differently since reading your thread. 3-0 in the last three days, like  GS -1, AND NY +16 for me today. BOL!

Went 1-1 on my parlays last night, hitting 3 of 4 games. That makes my parlay record 14-7-1 and individual game record at 52-7-1. Lost .25 units last night, making me up 10.75 units since playing this tease system, starting on March 15.

These lines have all been good since January 1. You can group them any way you like, I started to make them two 4 team teasers, but feel better with the 2 threes and a two. Three teams pay 1 1/2 to 1 and the four team only pays 2 to 1. Seems like the better play. BOL

 

Yes, I liked Golden State game also, and that was the game I lost! That -5 1/2 line for the home team had been 19-1 since January 1. (Keeping in mind the tease takes it to (- 1/2). The T-Blazers have that - 5 1/2 home team line tonight. Lets get back on track!

Thanks holder. Hit 2 out 3 parlays last night, winning 7 of 8 games. The Celtics tanked it for me. YTD parlay record is now 17-10-1 and individual game record is now 65-10-1. Won 1.2 units making me up 10.7 units. Will post parlay for tonight (if any good spreads) later.

Didn't even need the points with that 3 teamer tonight. Nice call, looking forward to Friday.
