NBA - Don't laugh but this system is 6-1 so far this year

LoL bear with me.

Add the highest total of the day with the lowest total, divide by 2 and bet the under on the total that comes closest (up or down) to the average of the high and low. (min. 4 games on the sched.)

6-1 so far.  Wacky but hitting at 86% so far!

Last year at this time it was 4-1.  When you get the average of the 2 totals round down even if its 200.75, bring it to 200, doing this would result in a 6-0 record at this time last year. 

There was an average that came out to 194.75.  The game that was 195.5 went over, but the two 193.5 games came under.  So if you would round down to 194 it would have hit the two.  So basically it's only integer results, no decimals and no rounding up.

Ok last night: Highest total on the board was:

DEN-IND @ 224

The Lowest was:

BOS-PHI or MIL-CHI @ 191.5

(224+191.5) / 2 = 207.75 we round DOWN only to 207

The game closest to 207 on the board (above or below) was UTA-DAL @ 202.5 which came under the total at 181.

So far this year on nights where there were enough games (4 minimum) it has hit at 6-1.

Obviously not a very scientific way of predicting a game, it's just something I've noticed and still fun nonetheless.

I didn't have time to check how it did last year past Nov. 4...perhaps a good Samaritan wouldn't mind doing the leg work for us.

Ok. I can see UTA-DAL @ 202.5 was below and closest to the average 207, we play UNDER. IF any game is 209 (not exist, only example) ABOVE and closest to the average, then we still play UNDER? or over?  Thanks.

Tonight's play is ATL-SAC UNDER 208.5 according to the system.

But please don't play it yet!  This is something I took note of while waiting for a work related conference call to commence.  There's no genius behind it.  I just love finding crazy stats and trends. 

In all likelihood it will even it self out, but until then it's fun to keep track of.  Let's be realisitic here, if the under does it, it had nothing to do with the average of the high and low total on the board tonight.  Remember, It's all coincidence obviously.

Sorry did not post the play, but you all knew what it would have been (NO-LAL Under).  Another hit, how about that?

Yes the play tomorrow looks like TOR-SA Under 202.

That line looks a little low considering TOR has not gone 100 pts yet this season and SA is allowing 98/game.  Or maybe the Raps are due for a low total on offense and SA's D puts it together.

I would just see how it plays out, or play it small.  Just fun take keep track considering the goofy way of deriving the play.

Sorry that should read the "TOR has not gone UNDER 100 pts yet this season".

Had a feeling the TOR-SA was too low.  Alot of 200+ totals tonight...maybe those nights should be weeded out.  Still experimental at this point.
