only take this into affect when wagering on MLB baseball.
not any other sort of baseball, not hockey, not any other sort of money line. this is still affective after the all star break but previously to the all star break this is good as gold.
bet only underdogs, i dont wanna hear it, only underdogs
theres 15 games a day for god sake, be selective, don't bet only your local team so you can see them on tv.
this is the mistake i did for years i would win 5-6 in a row, for like 2-3 units, and then blow it all on one game that i 'liked a lot' or was a huge favorite, no favorites, always and i mean ALWAYS, bet the same UNITS! i dont care how hot you are, and you will get hot trust me
heres why the theory is so amazing, if you are selective and do your homework, though i will admit its not all THAT important, and you bet the same amount of units on every game, you will need to win only 1 of 2 games to make money, if you win 2 in a row you're rolling, and so on and so forth, vegas seldomly bites you in the butt when using this technique.
this year since opening day i've been 15-5 and have won 9 of my past 11!
follow me to the promise land...or try it out and see without betting any money yet!
SELECTIVENESS=SUCCESS

This sounds like a post of someone who has just started gambling. No offense. If you could profit by just simply betting dogs every gambler would be rich. Try the better team with better pitcher as a dog & you might be on to something.

Yeah, no kidding. There are a lot of positives to be gleaned from betting dogs but not exclusively and certainly not blindly. So many people think they have some aspect of betting all figured out and it takes a nasty fall to realize nothing comes so easy.

Yeah I agree...dogs exclusively just doesn't work....I've tried it when I FIRST STARTED betting on baseball 3 years ago. You have to pick your spots....like a dog play that I have used this year and last is betting against the Yanks at home when a top 20 pitcher is not on the mound for NYY....this year it has been basically when Mr Wang has not been on the bump. 3-1, +3.9 units.

I've done the research. Not only done the research, but tracked it in real time. Not using slightly skewed closing lines posted on Covers, but lines taken from 3 different books every day for 2000 thru 2005. Like any system, it come down to greed and money management. If you set a goal, for example, of 20 units, you would have been successful every year. However, like in 2004, betting only Dogs would have peaked on 5/18 @ +61.13 units and ended the season -9.69 units. When would you have pulled the plug? If you were perfect at buying low and selling high, you'd be trading on the NY Stock Exchange; not betting sports. Would you have gone all the way to the end hoping for that late season rally and lost all your profits? What are your Profit/Loss targets for the 2008 season? How many units in your bankroll? Without a plan you are at a disadvantage. Best of luck to you.
