Marquis System ??????

Guys, If I'm understanding this system correctly then, DON'T PLAY IT.... This year it is 10 - 15 (40%) If you play against any team who: (1) won last week as a dog, and (2) is favored this week you will be 10 - 15 for the year..... This is very strange. I have gone back to the beginning of the regular season, week 1, and started there. In week 1 there were 7 dogs that won. Out of those 7, 5 were favorites the next week. Out of those 5 favorites, 4 won and 1 lost. That's as far as I've gotten; and it proves nothing. The only reason I mention it at this point is that the teams you have listed above are not the same teams that I am seeing as fitting the system. ????????????

I was under the impression that you have to bet AGAINST them if they are favored the following week....in which case you should have gone 1-4 not 4-1..... Even if you do it your way you would be 15-10...

That is correct..and yes, there are 5 this week..... Dogs who won last week and are favored this week are: Baltimore, Green Bay, Minnesota, NY Giants, and New Orleans...

Yes, you bet AGAINST them the following week--I was referring to the fact that they won their games, which of course means that we would have lost if we had bet against them. Back to my question, though--what kind of order are the teams/games in in your list above?

Weekly order...The teams listed are the teams you would bet on according to the system...these are the opponents of the dog who won last week and are favored this week...

Well, the "system" came through again this week, 4-2. I lost my work tracking the system through this season when an "automatic update" rebooted my computer when I wasn't looking. Beware!! Has anyone else tracked the system? I wish Marquis would respond to this disagreement so that we could find out who is mistaken and why. I mean, it's an easy system and I don't think anybody is purposely posting bogus info--so what's the problem????

Also, looking at the posts above, there seems to be some confusion about which teams qualified under the system for this week's play, so I will list: Dogs that won last week and are favored this week: Balt over Cleve Minn over NYJets New Orleans over Washington Buffalo over Miami Jax over Tenn GreenBay over Detroit This week's teams that the system says will win are the 6 teams following the word "over" in the list above. I believe that those 6 teams went 4-2 in today's games. Any disagreement on this?

Following the system, you would have played CLE, NYJ, WAS, TENN, DET. And you would have went 4-1. Miami and Bufflao cancelled each other out. The play is go against any team that won the s/u the previous week as a dog, and is now favored. GOOD LUCK!

OK. I don't understand the part about "Miami and Buffalo cancelled each other out"---why? Although both were dogs that won last week, only one of them (Buff) is a favorite this week. Please explain . . .

I guess they don't have to cancel out if you so chose...I don't know what Marquis states???? Anyway, it was 4-1 this week which brings the system up to: 14 - 16 (46.7%) for the season.... Not really a profitable system!!! Marquis, What do you have to say??????

you need to handicap the games also if the team that won as a DOG is facing a beat up injured oppent then i would play them as a favorite ! BUT you really want them to have have won as a DOG of 1.5 or more then favored by 1.5 or more and i wouldn't play on teams after bye weeks i came up with 21 wins and 9 losses ATS using this system this year BUT i Handicapped the games 1st THIS Week play aginst is RAMS at Home -2 vs Redskins REDSKINS Win st up !

...you get 21-7, i get 14-16...how do you figure????? At the beginning of this post I've outlined all the plays the system picks....and it is not 21-7.. What am I/We doing wrong.....a system should be such that everyone comes up with the same plays!

your using plays that DO Not Meet requirments of the system as i use it ! Teams that are missing key starters are never a good bet really bad road teams also are not good bets teams off a bye week do not fit this system HOME Dogs that lost two st road games as a DOG and return Home as a DOG vs a DIV rival are the worst BETS in the world 95% losers ATS 100% losers s/u ! Handicap the games who is playing the game? is that favorite facing a pathetic team that has dumped their season injured misssing key strters on both sides of the ball ? Those teams DO Not fit this system ! that Favorite will win by the spread easily this system is NOT automatic either YOU have to handicap the games some DOGS are just that DOGS and will lose your money faster than NY minute ! ..everything you say makes sense, of course....therefore, this does not qualify as a system per se (2 players might not come up with the same plays)....... A system is a mechanical, no human objectivity involved, everybody gets the same play...... This clearly is not the case here.... Granted, it may help your handicapping, but it's not a system........Agree???

You are right on it Kit. I have been following this and have gone 10-4 in the last three weeks. At 500 a game I am up 2800. Play against all those teams listed above.

I kinda like the plays also but...stats are stats and even though it did well last 3 weeks (10-4), it's still under 50% for the year... Your call!!!
