I'm a noob, Please HELP me!

I'm probably the biggest noob here... I just watched my first baseball game a month ago, and my first football game about 2 weeks ago. I still am not sure about some of the rules of those games but thats not what I need help on.

 

So anyways, I've noticed there's a lot of good information on these forums about what to pick and stuff, but I don't quite understand how betting in UNITS work.  Can someone explain what is a unit? and how much is 1.5  units and so on? I need a very detailed explaination as I am very extremely noob at this shit.

Well a unit is simply your base bet.  For example...if you bet $20 each game then $20 would be your starting unit so if someone calls for a 1.5 unit wager that would be $30.    A unit is different for everyone.  Some people in here play $5 a game and others play $5000 so its what ever your base bet is and it should probably be somewhere between 1% and 3% of your bankroll and probably no more than 5% on the high end.
