A correlating parlay is when a pointspread is at least 40 pct of the total. Then you would bet the favorite and over in a parlay AND bet the dog and the points. Thats all there is to it. The theory is basically that when one side hits the total has a very good chance of hitting. Lets use an example just so you get the idea: Say the Florida game is posted at -46 and the total is 54. (Now thats extreem but just to give you the idea) How mant ways can florida cover and not go over ? Only seven. So a parlay with Florida and under would be a horrible bet. And how many times do we see a big fav get into a shootout with the dog ? not too often. But it is common to see a big fav cover and go over because to cover the large number you are close to going over. The idea of parlays for the book is to have 2 different occurences not related to each other, if the side and total correlate meaning if one happens then the other has a much greater chance to happen also. And getting 3 to 1 odds, there is great value. And of course the higher the percentage the more likely to hit one of the correlated parlays. And 40 pct. is usually the lowest pct to look for when betting these parlays. This form of betting is not new. I see someone in here thinks they got a good thing going. But they also tell you its hard to find a book to take them, which tells you the cat was left out of the bag a long time ago.

If I understand the rudie idea, since the total is 54, the pointspread must be least 22 points (40% of 54 is 21.6) in order to bet to parlay (fav/over).
Rudie: the correlating parlay only work in football obviously, but do you know whether any factor that work it into basketball?. For example: instead 40%, the factor maybe 20% or 15% or 10%, etc?
