Whats the real story? IF you always follow the top cappers bets (the ones ranked # 1 or 2 in a particular sport) Are you going to win???????

I think it's worth a try...I have always done my own handicapping on everything.Primarily because I don't want to blame anyone but myself! having said that..I agree with you 100% we have all of these great tools at wagerline and I will give it a shot with a small bankroll and see how it turns out. GOOD LUCK!..||an_cheers.gif' border=0>

Following a top capper is definitely a good idea provided the capper is consistent.
Unfortunately I havn't found a single capper who has been in the top 10 list for at least 2 consecutive years. So the person at the top so far might easily slip at the end of the season making financial losses to you.

||thumbs_up.gif' border=0>good point! maybe a better idea would be to use the top 10 and formulate some consensus picks and try those out. It might be worth a try||football_C1.gif' border=0>

Who to follow or who is really the best handicapper? I find the average return on investment to be a good measure. This is calculated from total units divided by number of bets. Percent accuracy and total units tend to be less reliable.
Consensus from top 6 high percentage handicappers may be profitable at various times but doesn't always work in long term.

Nothing will work in the long run.
Thats the beauty of this game. Bookies just laugh at us idiots who dream to make a living on betting.||an_roll_laugh.gif' border=0>

As much as I'd like to claim my few winning weeks as skill it's all a coin toss. Take the #1 MLB capper for instance, he is only at 56%. That is a solid "F" on EVERY scale except betting! Plus if you are betting on favorites, don't forget that you have to win a much higher % than lose to make a dime, sometimes as much as 2-1 or 66.67%. Good luck in you ventures, but just be careful following a capper.||clover.gif' border=0>

the problem is that whoever is 1 one week may drop and someone else may go to 1. however if you track someone who is consistent then you can bet with them but I personally like to find my own games.
