There are a bunch of Modified Martingale systems actually.
I just cannot get myself to use ANY of them because they are all effectively CHASE SYSTEMS (although some are a bit more subtle).
I mean once or twice a year you are going to have a real bad losing streak and it just does not make any sense at all betting
nearly $2000 to win your original $50 bet?!?! Then what happens if you lose that $2000 bet?!?! Think about it. And if you don't think it can happen I PROMISE YOU IT CAN AND WILL. Statistically by sheer randomness when betting everyday that 10th standard deviation will come up in a betting series and when it does
if you are using Martingale or any derivative of it you will be crying to putting thousands of $$$$$$ up to get back that tiny initial bet. I had a buddy do this some years back and he lost quite a sizeable bankroll. Some of the systems will tell you to stop with forms of martingale and go back to the smallest unit when you have a bet that is 10 times your initial bet. Still that is a bunch to lose in itself!
A better way of betting is to press up wins at least 3 times and go small after every loss until you hit another win. You will simply never get tapped out like that no matter how bad the losing streak and still be able to take advantage of nice winning streaks. I'd be happy to go over details of how I do that.
