ATS top 5 teams...

while I was looking at the Power Rankings that Frank was referring to, I looked at the "statistics" tab in NBA for example...
 
It shows the top 5 ATS winning teams and all of the ATS ranking for all of the teams.  Then in every sport it has the same info...
 
So I am starting and tracking  a "new ATS strategy"
 
In NCAABB  I looked at all of the teams with better than a 70% ATS win rate....basically the top listed 21 teams....
so tonight "plays" would be..
PSU, Richmond, Bowling Green, James Madison, George Mason, Auburn, Michigan and UTEP......
....Let's see how they fare tonight...
 
In NBA....tonight plays are OkC(63% winner) & Mil( 65%winner)
 
...btw "home Dawgs in hockey are a 73% winner ATS
tonight plays are Pitt & Ana
 
...top 2 money winners in NHL are Boston & Chicago
 
...in NFL Baltimore is a 73% winner ATS this seson

gasman, i have tracked this similar system and had good results.
especially when you get teams that start off good and never look back. you wind up playing the same teams for the entire year and make alot of cash! it's definately worth looking into!
the downside is a year with parity. some years are better than others. keep us updated!  gl

Richmond +8 (Loss)
Bowling Green +7 (Loss)
James Madison -15 (Cover)
George Mason -4 (Push)
Auburn +2.5 (Loss)
Michigan +7 (Loss)
UTEP -4.5 (Loss)
 
1st night: 2-5-1
OUCH!!! Maybe give it a week of monitoring & make some adjustments? I've seen systems like this before & they don't tend to do well consistently b/c they completely ignore situational value. Just some food for thought - thanks for the work and I'll pop back in to try & offer some help

lippsman...go to "scoreboard" then say NCAABB on that page at top are headings with power ratings statistics, etc...pull down statistics and look at "Top 5 ATS" and clip on "see all"

Home dawgs in NHL...0-2

NBA...1-1 of the top 5 ranked teams

NCAABB...2-5-1 of the top 20 70% win rate teams

...will follow for a while

gasman,hang in there! rome wasn't built in one day. looking forward to your updates. lets go at least 200 games!

no one thinks that these numbers might regress towards the .500 mark?

or are we just usung a backfitted theory?
