a strategy i came up with, works with me for baseball and nhl!!

Everyday I pick baseball and put equal amounts of money on favorites whether they play home or away. The worst case scenario, if for example today there is a 15 game schedule. so i put $25 on each game. The worst case scenario, if the favorites go 7-8 for the day, then i loose maybe a small amount hence if they did real well, then its only profit. The good side to this system is that you dont loose your entire bankroll and start stressin over it. Let me know what you guys think, good luck to all.

this also applies for nhl, but not for nba or college games.

but consider this, if you go to the trends section in either mlb, nhl and look on the winning percentage of favorites, its over 55%. Which means if throughout the season all you do is pick the favorites and bet on them in equal amounts, you will double your bankroll by the end of the season. Yes there are some losing days too, but it takes patience which no gambler has. Everyone wants to be a millionaire overnight, but i aint going no where. I can get with this system. oh and steve, i know i lost yesterday but only $50 not some outrageous amount like $500. So there is less risk in this system also which i like.

Betting all favs is a TERRBLE idea, look up the stats and you'll understand why. You'd have to hit over 60% easily to gain tiny profits

Check out the blog at dimeclub.net.  They have bet every underdog (so they say) the entire season and are up somewhere between 40-50 units.  Betting all favs will break you.

I read somewhere a while back that about 4 out of every 9 MLB games are won by the underdogs. 

If that is true, then that should mean the favorites win SU about 5 out of every 9 MLB games.  That's only 55% there.  Betting the juice of -120 and above, you are starting out even at best and going downhillevery time one of the pups wins.  Very bad idea. 

 

If you want to take a favorite, look for a favorite that has lost 2 or 3 straight and is due for a win, then chase.
