What's up everyone, Prince here. I wanted to create this thread as I am very disappointed in "
You had just survived Pick #18 by a HALF POINT, and let’s be real — you were fortunate to get out of that one because LA controlled most of that game. You escaped, the streak was still alive, and you were sitting at 18 straight winners.
So what do you do next?
You turn around and immediately take the favorite on Monday Night Football, laying 3.5 points on the road and giving up home-field advantage in a nationally televised primetime game.
EVERYTHING about the timing of Pick #19 felt wrong.
Forget whether the pick ultimately won or lost for a second. My issue is that there was absolutely no reason to force that pick.
There’s a reason Covers gives you a full week to make your next selection. USE IT! When you’ve built an 18-game streak, you’ve earned the luxury of being patient. Take your time. Study the board. Wait for the right matchup, the right number, the right situation — the right moment.
You don't get extra credit for making Pick #19 twenty-four hours after Pick #18.
And I’m not saying this as some guy who thinks he knows everything. My record here certainly doesn’t do me any justice. I think my longest streak is only around 10 or so. But I’ve been on this earth for 50-plus years and have been picking games for about half of them. One thing I’ve learned is that when you're hot, patience becomes just as important as picking winners.
LET’S NOT WASTE STREAKS, PEOPLE.
Getting to 18 straight is freaking HARD. Most people will never get anywhere close to that. Once you get there, protect the damn thing. Don't manufacture a play simply because another game is sitting in front of you.
Great run, Trap. Seriously. 18 straight deserves respect. ??
But I think you rushed #19, and unfortunately you wasted an incredible streak on a spot you simply didn't need to play.
Shake it off. Start another one.
And next time you get to 18...
MAKE US WAIT FOR #19! ??
