Talk About A Rigged Contest

Canada vs Nigeria. Score 0-0. Multiple people got everything right except their 'anytime goal scorer' pick was wrong. I thought it was dumb of people to pick a scoreless tie then pick a goal scorer. But covers must have required a pick for anytime goal scorer. No option to pick NONE. Which made it impossible to win if the score was 0-0. Or was there an option to pick NONE?

@irw

 Again. US 0 Portugal 0. No chance of winning. Had to pick a goal-scorer.

@irw

 Can you give me a link to the rules for this? I was unable to locate them.

Dry those tears.  Free contests are exactly that free.  So there was no goal scorers.

@magicman1642

 It's a pity there isn't an option to mute morons. And jerks.

@DeaconBlues2525

 They are 'perfect score wins' games. If you don't get every single pick correct you don't win. I'm pretty sure in those two there was no choice of 'no goal scorer'. You had to pick somebody to score. So any game that ended in a 0-0 tie had no chance of producing a winner. In the most recent game there was a choice of 'no goal scorer', but I'm virtually certain there was no such choice earlier.

@irw

 I agree.  Then we wouldn’t see people crying over free contests.

@irw

 The reason I asked is one might say that in a scoreless tie all scorers tied for top scorer at 0. Just sayin.
