Thanks I'm going with Cornell +4 for win 3. The only fear is that I lose at 2 a lot. However I think Cornell will win, they were were impressive against Temple and Wisconsin was not impressive at all against Wofford. I hope i don't regret this pick later. I am just starting and this one game per day is killing me.  Its so tough, but its free and I am giving it a shot.  Nothing to lose.

I couldn't tell if you were talking about the survivor contest or if you were advertising for this other site.  It actually wouldn't be that bad if you could pick more than one game per day.  It would be just as hard.  If you lose one of your picks you go back to zero, if you get them all correct you get a streak of how many correct games were predicted correctly.  If anything, it incites people to pick more than one game, which gives a greater chance of losing on one of them. 

Anyways, I'm on Michigan St.(-1).  Depending on the odds tomorrow, my next pick will probably be on the Calgary Flames.  They are in a really good spot to beat Boston. 

I skipping picking Charlotte -10 yesterday and they won by 11. i can't believe I did this but I picked the awful nets +9 against the Bulls. I am going for W3 but this means the nets will lose by 10+.

Stupid nets I will never pick you bums again. You were on a w2 which is your longest winning streak of the season against a bulls team that has been struggling and in no means is in position to win by double digits. Instead they are up by 25. I will be getting some revenge on the nets in the future. Back to 0 again. I want to reach at least 7.

I know the nets are horrible but by not figuring out trends i did not see this coming. The nets had clinched a tie at worst for the worst record in NBA history so they might not be up for it. Another reason I deserved to lose is because the other team is the Chicago Bulls. Everytime I pick a spread that involves them i end up getting burned on both sides. some examples have been Bulls -6.5 against the 76ers and the Bulls make 1 of 2 late free throws and go up by 9 and give up a 3 at or near the buzzer and win by 6, losing by 1/2 a point on the spread. Another time I took the Trailblazers +3.5 against the Bulls and thought that Portland would win outright and they were down by 2 in OT with the Bulls having the ball with very little time left and Brandon Roy committed a foul and the Bulls hit both free throws. They are an evil team in this game and will be faded for now on. As for the nets I will be picking against them twice before the end of the season but I will review the spreads and the teams and make sure it's a reliable team. For example it won't be the wizards, or the faded bulls and most likely not the hornets.

Look man ...you are over thinking ..if you know you have bad luck with certain teams....stay away from those picks... any sport using spreads is tricky  we all have close losses and wins....part of the game

Had a chance to jump to 4 wins, but Calgary lost 5-0.  So back to 0.  I really thought they would have came out strong, considering their coach gave them a tough talkin' too after their lose to the Islanders.  Can't blame myself, I thought it was a pretty strong play.

I'm going with the Spurs -8 over the nets for some of my revenge for yesterday's disaster.

Well, I was hoping to end the month of March with a 70% record in Streak Survivor, but after my 4 game losing streak it went all the way down to 61%.

Going with Vancouver/LA Under 5.5 today to get to 2 wins.  And hopefully start April with a win.

Went with the under 5.5 yesterday, and LA won 8-3.

I took San Jose over Minnesota for win 3 and hopefully .500

Have to no problem getting to 2 or 3 wins.  Its the ones after that Kill me..

I'm at 3 now and have taken the San Francisco Giants for win 4.

I can't seem to get past 2 wins as of late.  Unfortunately, with ncaab at an end, the nhl and nba nearing the playoffs, I can't see myself putting together any decent streak until next fall.  I'm not good at picking mlb games, and can't rely on nhl/nba playoff games since anything can happen.  Shrug.

I'm going to take over 9 in the mets/marlins game for win 5.
eMatchup what I don't get is when some games are have a favorite that is over the -130 limit the over/under becomes unavailable too. I don't believe the favorite should have an impact on picking a total amount of runs or goals. In football and basketball the amount of points are always up because point spreads are used to make the game closer for the underdog. But in a game like Baltimore @ NY Yankees while the game is unavailable to pick the Yankees it should be up for over/under. Also in one sided hockey teams like Toronto @ Washington or Edmonton @ Chicago the over/under should be available. With those over/unders missing it makes the game more restricted in which I feel is unnecessary.
Anyway I hope your luck changes, during the last two winters I have had trouble getting past two in the December-February part of the year and I created this thread because of a bad stretch. This is a game that can be nice at times and frustrating at others.

3-1 Final I hate this game. I never can even reach 7.
I've been screwed over again.

Now Baltimore blows it! I swear based on the name of this thread that I will NEVER be good on survivor. NEVER.

SFTC: variable based on length of matchups. Survivor: 1
When I lose I get depressed because it takes that many days to rebuild a streak as the size of the streak. For example I lost today and have to suffer at 0 the rest of the day and only the next day if I get that right do I get to 1. If you lose you should get to pick again for that day.

How often MLB and NHL games appear:
SFTC: Random Survivor: Favorite is -130 or less
-131 is not a big favorite yet it's too big to be on the board. On ultimate race it's -150 or less I don't know why it stops at -130 here.

Why I am very mad about this game? All of the above has lead to this major difference!

I AM VENTING. I started playing in November 2008 and have been awful for around 17 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quitting would be a good thing if I could EVER get unaddicted to this game.

Oh my I took the Magic because I heard all the Cavs starters are out. Now I just heard LeBron is palying so there goes my minute streak of 1 and YES I'm still playing because I'm still addicted.
