Games Im on this weekend....

A little rushed for time, cant writeup - but will be back to discuss.....

Saturday:

1.  Sunderland +118 (2 units)
2.  Liverpool PK +115 (1.5 units)
3.  Villa / Blackburn Under 2.5 -103 (2 units)
4.  QPR +1 +103 (1.5 units)
5.  Swansea +114 (1 unit)

Seems we feel very similar on a lot of these plays but ended up only on one play together.  I like Sunderland and Swansea but thought the price was a bit short on both so I am staying away.  QPR is obviously a play on the overreaction to their beating last week so I took the under instead of AH.  Opposite is true in VIlla/Burn game and I'll be joining you on Liverpool.  BOL

Its funny you say that about Swansea and Sunderland - because I thought the same thing.  I really like them, but the price seems low.  I bet them both anyway based on handicapping leans, but I am bothered that I dont think I am getting all that I should in terms of price.

I wanted to bet them both so badly but wanted +130 for each at a minimum.  If they get closer to that number then I will probably join you on them.

would love a write up on swansea, curios as to what specifically you liked from  them in that last match...  oddsmakers clearly like them giving them the nod, albeit slight, for the home win...

Considering they played a probably top 3 squad away from home I thought they played extremely well.  They didn't start conceding until they were clearly tired from defending all game.  The first 20 minutes they actually outplayed City and against a much, much inferior squad like Wigan they should actually be the better team.  Like I said earlier, I fancy them tomorrow as well but think they are just a bit short.  I still expect a win though..

all I am saying is you can defend all day and draw but not win... I didnt see much from the offensive side but I may have missed something I only caught the tail end of there match with City

I agree with you there which is why I thought the price was a bit short.  However, I do want to point out again that the first 25 or so minutes Swansea were dominating 65% possession and had a great foothold in the game.  Against a lesser squad they very easily could've been leading.

I look at unit success as a percentage of units risked.  In other words, if I am a guy that risks 10 units per play, on a lot of games, it would be easy to finish the season up 100 units.  That sounds great, but your risk was very high.

I risk between 1 and 5 units (5 is very rare), on limited amount of games - so my unit total at seasons end is really a function of how many games I can find to wager, and how much I risk.

All of that being said, I finished the equivalent of a 63% capper in CLUB soccer last season (excluding Champs League and Intl where I was a little bit higher). 

That is a ridiculously high abnormal number that I dont expect to repeat.  I had (and I guess it hasnt ended yet) the best 15 month run of my life in any sport.  Knock on wood.
