Wow, this rain is absolutely crazy!  The pitch is terrible!  Reminds me of the Steelers/Dolphins game last year.
 
What makes me laugh is that every sport plays in this kind of wheather, except bases where a light drizzle is enough to delay the game

This game is a wild one in the rain... ball sticks in standing water, or skips wildly. Lots of mistakes and miskicks by defenders should benefit scoring opportunities. Swiss up 1-0 (shoulda had a 2nd... point blank miss w goalie swimming on the other side of the pool)
 
Hopefully Turkey pull back even , but the swiss counter attacks are more dangerous now.

I found a 3 hour loop of Swiss weather... Straight above Bern in the there's a little nipple sticking up (and there is a line coming down to it representing the border of another country)... that is Basel, where this is being played.

I can see cleaaaarly now, the rain is gone!

The ball sticks to the pitch like velcro in this one.  Going to have to air it out, ball is just not rolling, defenders are getting a bit caught.

These teams dont like each other... The Turks are feeling right at home unloading on their opponent, and the Swiss are getting theirs in too; but the Swiss are managing the conditions better.

Its gonna take long balls in to create scoring chances via chaos in the slop.

Rain is done for halftime and I'm sure they will be working on the pitch, we should have much a more manageable pitch for the 2nd half Lets get the Over!  Time to go do some work during the half...

turks were outplaying switz earlier when the conditions wernt so bad, but as its got worse switz has been way better with kick-and-chase long passes.

turkey better realize during halftime they're gonna have to do the same to even it up cause finesse/soft touches is getting no where now.

ive got a small play on turkey and a larger play on a draw no bet turkey.  so lets hope for a better turkish 2nd half!

I just watched the replays of the goal and the shoulda been goal. The Turkish keeper must have a winning Swiss Lotto ticket in his pocket... combined brain and body freeze. A performance that I can certainly define as Bartezesque.

For those of you who can identify with some of the classic Bartez (France) blunders.
