It is sooooo laid back in Vancouver - very few ties to be seen even right downtown, and that was 5 years ago... today probably none.
Gorgeous scenery everywhere - just got to stay away from the East side - Hastings street in particular gets pretty interesting 
Pretty much - but also due to the demographic; everyone there is either very rich or the starving student type - there is no class conflict or desperation as there usually is in major cities 
Its what I call "a lifestyle city" - lots of skiing and outdoors activities for wealthy people lol...
