Dutch Eredivisie Willem II - RKC Waalwijk RKC Win @ 2.34
Decent odds here for RKC. The Waalwijk side is a solid team as of late and even though they haven't won at all in september (3 draws, 1 loss), this is the perfect match up to start the new month with a win. Willem II just got promoted to the highest Dutch league but definitely lack quality to stay in it. They will have to fight for every point and I expect them (or PEC Zwolle) to relegate at the end of the season. Willem II did not pick up a win at all so far and just got defeated last week, at home vs expected fellow relegation candidate PEC Zwolle (0-1). In between, they also lost in the Dutch Cup against lower first division team FC Dordrecht (0-2). Back to RKC - as I mentioned they have not won last month, but they start to click and play well lately. Last week they were just minutes away from a surprising win at AZ Alkmaar, but eventually it ended 3-3 by a late goal from Maher. RKC showed to be really effective in front of goal and had some dangerous counter attacks as well. Starting defender Ramos is still out for the RKC side due to an injury, but besides him the squad is pretty much healthy and I expect them to get the win against Willem II. GL.

Dutch Jupiler League De Graafschap - Sparta Rotterdam Sparta Win @ 3.11
De Graafschap got relegated from the highest Dutch league last season and seems not to have found their way on the second level yet, being at the 10th place (out of 18 teams) after 7 matches. Sparta is currently ranked 6th, trailing leaders MVV by only 3 points. They finished 2nd in the league last season and lost the playoff match for promotion against Willem II by just one goal. The aim for Sparta is to finish in the top four again (numbers 2 to 4 are secured of a playoff spot) and they have a good enough squad to do so. They have an attacking way of playing and score an average of 2 goals per game. After De Graafschap got relegated, many of their important players left the team. Central defender Wormgoor & striker Poepon left, top scorer De Leeuw (who scored 1/3 of their goals last season) went on a free transfer and first goalie de Winter went to AZ Alkmaar. The fans are not happy with how things are going at De Graafschap and demand the chairman to step down. I see chances for Sparta to snatch an away win today.

What a game this was. Sparta was definitely the play here on these odds and deserved the win, several shots were saved from the goal line and they hit the post twice in the second half. A saved penalty at the end of the game. Enough chances for a win. Unlucky. Would've cashed big here. On to saturday it is. Feeling good about the RKC play (see first post).

Surely, this is going to be another tough match for QPR. Diakite is suspended, Traore and Fabio are both out, while Ferdinand and Bosingwa are still doubtful. Even when they are fit, they lack match fitness and perhaps only play half a match. Striker Johnson is likely to miss the rest of the season due to injury. QPR has only scored four goals this season (ranked 20 and last by goals and points); with Zamora scoring 3 of the total 4 and Taarabt netting the other one earlier this week, in a home defeat, against West Ham (1-2) The team is still aiming for their first league win of the season after drawing 5 and losing 2. QPR haven't won an away game since november last year (13 losses, 3 draws). West Ham has won all of their 3 home matches so far and is the only team in the league still to concede a goal at home. This is the best start of the PL season WBA ever had. Some of the important players that are out for the home side are captain and midfielder Brunt and defender Jones (both injured). Odemwingie is back after his suspension and defenders McAuley and Ridgewell both seem to be ready after a late fitness test. WBA already had home wins against Liverpool & Everton. QPR is able to cause danger to every PL side, but it's too early right now for them to click as a team with half of them being injured, not 100% match fit or suspended. Take a good home side, a motivated team over a QPR manager under pressure with a side that hasn't gotten an away win since last year. GL.

Dutch Eredivisie FC Twente - AZ Alkmaar Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.60 Over 3 Goals @ 1.91
This is a rare season for AZ Alkmaar, as they don't play European matches for the first time in years. The advantage, ofcourse, is that this gives them more time to rest players and prepare for the league. Twente just came off a draw against Swedish side Helsingborg (Thursday's Europa League). They were the better team with over 75% ball possesion. Surprisingly though, Twente was down 2-0 before halftime, but scored two late goals to end the game with a tie. They don't have much time to prepare for AZ, but are a strong homeside this season winning all of their 3 home matches. Twente has won 6 of 7 league matches, with 1 away loss against Ajax (1-0). Overall this season Twente has played 17 matches, got 12 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses. AZ is still searching, switches great tactical plays with poor defending. They were lucky to get the draw against RKC last week, but nonetheless this is a team that can score at anytime. USA International Altidore is AZ Alkmaar's striker and the Eredivisie's current MVP scoring 8 in 7 with a couple of assists. The bad news for AZ is that playmaker Martens picked up a knee injury and is ruled out of Twente's match. AZ's seven out of nine matches this season went over 2.5 goals - their last five all went over 2.5 - with four of the last five over 3.5 goals. FC Twente's last three out of five went over 3.5 goals. Last 5 head to head: 3W: AZ, 1W: FC Twente and 1 draw. Three out of their last four matches went Over 2.5. FC Twente has gone Over 2.5 goals 11 out of 16 times after an European match. AZ has already conceded 13 goals after 7 games, but still managed to score an average of 2 per game. Twente scored atleast one goal in 9 of their last 10 matches while AZ has scored in 6 of their 7 league matches. GL.

RKC, pfff.. way offensive against top sides Ajax and AZ, to barely creating chances against this weak Willem II team. WBA had a tough second half, but atleast they took the points.

Real Betis - Real Sociedad DNBReal Sociedad @ 2.45 X2Real Sociedad @ 1.70
These two teams usually have close matches. Sociedad has won 5 of their last 10 with Real Betis, while Betis won 2. We can find both teams back in the middle of the Primera Division table, ranked 11 & 12, both with 3 wins and 3 losses. Betis conceded 8 goals and seen 3 red cards in their last two matches. Betis will miss first goalkeeper Casto against Sociedad, as he was sent off against Malaga (4-0 loss). They will start with goalie Adrian, who made his debut on the highest level last week. An inexperienced goalie who only played his matches for the B team. Real Betis has conceded 13 goals already (second highest in the league). Sociedad just came off a win, at home, against Athletic Bilbao (2-0). The only reason I see Sociedad being an underdog here is that they haven't won an away match yet this season. Betis has lost 2 of their last 3 at home. GL.

Feyenoord is in a revenge match tomorrow. They got hammered at Groningen last season (6-0) and in recent years struggled against this side as they lost 5 of their last 6 away matches against them. FC Groningen are having a hard time winning at home now, so this is the time for Feyenoord to do some damage. Groningen did win a home game against Roda JC last week, but it was their first home victory since february. The win didn't even came easy. Groningen got to an early 1-0 lead and the away side got a red card after just 18 minutes of play. Easy day for FC Groningen you would say, but it turned out to be a difficult home game once again. Even with a man down, Roda didn't have any trouble to keep up with Groningen and equalised before half time. After the interval, Groningen went up 2-1, but Roda managed to tie again. The 3-2 was scored in the dying seconds of added time. Groningen is expected to play with the same lineup as last week and are currently ranked 10th in the Eredivisie. FC Groningen's goalie Luciano had some blunders lately and he's not keeping with a lot of confidence. Playmaker and Groningen's best player Tadic (31 assists in two seasons) got sold to FC Twente during the summer transfer window. Groningen's new coach Maaskant is still puzzling for a right lineup. Striker JunSuk is suspended. We can find Feyenoord back on the 5th place and they just had an easy win last week against NEC (5-1). Forward Pellè scored his first two goals for Feyenoord and midfielder Immers got a hattrick. Immers also scored the winning goal (also against NEC) a few days earlier in the Dutch Cup. Central defender Mathijsen is back from injury and is likely to form the heart of Feyenoord's defense with fellow Dutch international Martins Indi. Feyenoord has never won a match before an international break under coach Koeman.
