Both Ronaldo and Van Persie made a similar mistake after beating the defense. They simply shot too soon. There was no pressure on either of them. Ronaldo at least controlled the ball, Van Persie did not have to shoot that on the first touch, he could've brought it down and made a move on the keeper. Very disappointing at the finishing.

As of right now, Holland needs Germany to beat Denmark AND they have to beat Portugal 3-0...obviously this is subject to change pending the final result.

They have to bring on Huntelaar and Van Der Vart - will be surprised if that doesnt happen at HT.

That would involve them beating Portugal, Germany beating Denmark - and then having the highest goal differential AMONGST THE GAMES WITH PORTUGAL AND DENMARK ONLY.  That is the new tiebreaker.  Goals with Germany wont count.
