We Said To Back Against Tigers TWO MONTHS Ago

Hi guys.

I was just checking in to see who was on the Roosters and on the Tigers.  Game is over of course, right team won.

Been away for a while because work is killing me, but I wanted to know how many of the regulars in here remember me and some others saying in July to back against Wests come Finals time no matter who they were up against as they would be the worst finals team in recent memory?

Surely you have to remember those threads and discussions, especially since they were winning matches in such sloppy ways this season.  Had no idea that the team they would come up against would be my Roosters, but how lucky for me.

If Wests stays in, surely you back against them again.

BTW, I didn't wager on the Roosters/Tigers game so this is no bravado thread.

Just wanting to know how many remember us discussing that angle a whopping couple months ago...

To be fair there was a set of fluke set of circumstances that led to the Roosters winning the match (Heignington knocking on at the back of the scrum with 35 sec left in reg time when all the Tigers needed to do was hold onto the ball, Anasta kicking a 42m field goal right on full time to send the game into XT, Tigers losing their most influential player 5min from FT, Tigers having to play the last 6min of reg time with 12 min)

The better team lost the game last night but were not smart enough to kill off the game

 

And that's not even inlcuding the fact that it needed a 70m intercept try from the Roosters to win the game in XT

I have said all along and will manintain that league players are the dumbest human beings on the planet............

When the Roosters had there opportunities for field goals, they set it up well and simply just missed the FG, now at least they set it up and it was just a bad FG, cant blame them for that..........

The Tigs on the other hand, i mean, as i said , rugby league players are just dumb........

Tigers get the ball, 6 tackles 30 out from the Roosters line after Perret mis judged a kick........What do the tigers do? Play tippy toe with the touch line and Ayshford gets knocked into touch on the 3rd tackle....... Is taking 3/4 tackles in the centre of the field way to mentaly challenging?

Tigs were 30 metres out on the 3rd or 4th tackle, Fulton throws a 20 metre cut out pass? is driving the ball to the centre of the field way to menatly taxing?

Todd Payten throws a pass to Lui 30 metres out , Lui was standing 2 metres out in front of him???????

If players dropped the ball, miss a tackle, mis-directed pass, mis field goal attempts in the last stages of the match, i can live with that...........

But seriously, last night just re-affirmed for me that league players are some of the dumbest, low intellect low IQ people on this earth........

I mean, i watched the Raiders game last night, Luke Walsh puts a bomb up and the Raiders player runs to tackle his legs mid air........Are people really really really really that DUMB?

If the tigs used 1/10th of a brain, they would be having the week off to nurse those critical injuries and 1 win away from a GF.......Instead they have to travel to  Canberra (assuming drags win) on a freezing Friday night, after just playing 100 mins without Benji...........GOOD LUCK

Give Roosters cred for hanging in there AND for not panicking to try and get off a decent shot for a field goal at the end!

Unbelievable circumstances led to the Chooks win but in the end the Tigers caught a SKD.

Wests Tigers were clearly the better team,Roosters got a lucky win and will be booted out next round.

Amazing season from my Chooks.....and I DID PREDICT THEM TO GO TO THE GRAND FINAL!!!  Gotta did up that early futures thread somewhere now.....hahaha

Just needed 40 more minutes of solid football.  Damn push in the back on what should have been a Roosters scrum juice Titans drop-out turned momentum around completely.  I think that was at 12-8 Dragons and around the 50 min mark.
