This "SHOULD" reduce the drain of players to super league...
If u got the last 3-4 yrs of players that went to the English Super League, u could have competitive teams in Perth and Adelaide.....Then it would be a national league.......
I would be inclined to grow the areas west of NSW than QLD or VIC.....
Plus this gives the NRL greater leverage when negotiating the new TV rights deal......

It won't reduce the drain, not when you can earn a shitload more in england
A player earning $200k in Australia can get 150k-200k in English pounds. You do the math
The only way you will reduce the drain is by raising the salary cap, and along with that that minimum wage. But the NRL cannot explain why only 38 million of the $120 million+ in TV rights goes to clubs. Double that and the drain becomes a trickle
But there haas never been a conflict of interest when an organisation half owned by News Ltd negotiates a multi-millon dollar deal with another company part owned ny News Ltd
Or when the online and multimedia rights are offered to the games biggest sponsor without going to tender
or when News Ltd offer up the chairwomen of the games second biggest sponsor to the "Independent" Commission

I disagree for the most part.........Look at how many players are coming back or would love to come back........Many of these players have young families and the last thing they want to do is pack up and move to freezing climate where they basically dont know anyone.......
I guarantee young families would prefer to go to the west and earn fairly good money than go to the freezing climate.....
For eg, if u had teams in Perth and Adelaide, the existing clubs would have more cap space and the stars would be offered better money to stay.....
I agree about the conflicts of interest that crippled the game for the past 15 yrs............

For example......
Say Danny Buderis, in his last year at Newcastle.......The knights werent able to offer him $450k a year......
But if a new Perth team was available, they would have been able to.......
Dont look at the individual clubs, look at the NRL as a whole, with more clubs, there is a bigger pie to distribute,,,,,,
