just happened to walk by the tv as the fox guys were talking about the souths v knights game that's on now and they both tipped newcastle to win fairly matter of factly.
so I zip over and check what the prices are on this match and its souths 1.50 newcastle 2.60
8 minutes gone and the knights lead 24-blot. I'm a big advocate for betting lesser known sports / competitions because the books obviously don't keep as close an eye on the ones with lower $$ turnover, but it looks and sounds like they got this game really wrong.
has anyone had the diligence to follow this comp closely ?

There is money to be made, and it revolves around odds comparison

completely agree in the mainstream comp, it amazes me how even past players are such "squares" when it comes to tipping who's gonna win a football match.
But I just caught a little interest in the NYC given its a bit lower profile and perhaps susceptible to the odd askew line from the books

agree, it creates a real void for some of these guys when they become inelligible for this comp but aren't ready for first grade yet.
Overall, these young blokes would be far better off playing in an open age competition like the QLD Cup or the various sub-divisions in NSW.
yep. Reserve grade used to be a strong comp worth watching at the ground. You could drop a guy from 1st's and watch them run around with the reggies for a week or two.
It was still a big step for the kids to come from u20's to reserve grade - something they don't have now.
The current system is stupid
