Seeing as there is all this riff raff about centrebet i would be interested to here from my fellow Aussie's what in your opinion is the best sportsbook for us.
I use SPORTSTAB, SPORTSBET, SPORTINGBET, CENTREBET.
Convenience wise it's got to be sportstab but that offer the worst odds!
Centrebet has never given me any troubles before and have let me bet 1k+ on numerous occasions. Also like the fast 24 hour clearance straight into my bank account on collecting my winnings.

I reckon there is no right or wrong answer, it's horses for courses. ie having all of the above books at your disposal would be the best way to guarantee the best deal.
More often than not there'll be discrepancies between books on lines and or prices for an event. Having the ability to pick and chose the best value would surely be your best bet

It really depends on what sport(s) one is betting. I post anywhere from 50-80? percent of what I play, for various reasons. But the main one being is I know very few bet the way I do. I mean how big is the market for those who do both Oz rugby league and baseball?
Timing is one of the best "loopholes' I have found as an advantage for long term profits and making better prices.
For example, I don't like Sportingbet because of their limited baseball options.

Despite the bad rep that Centrebet seems to be developing around here, I've actually just re-opened my account with them, reason being their products which at this point are basically unavailable elsewhere:
- Pick Your Own Line
- Live Betting (obviously available elsewhere at HT but nobody as far as I know has the in-play lines like they do)
- Early week lines (often you can get a line that will be better than anything offered later in the week).
I'm not too sure what to make of these 'limits' that are being spoken of, never experienced this myself (guess that renders me a 'mug'), but I don't quite bet four-figure amounts, and have never really withdrawn anything greater than 2k, so.
In terms of price AB and SA have got it, 90% of the time Pinnacle has the best available price and with their -105 lines you often can get line selections at plus money. If I was a pro I'd definitely be using this. From what I hear Pinnacle book pretty substantial action on NFL/NBA etc so I doubt you'd have any problems in regards to limiting.
In regards to the other Aussie books they are all pretty much similiar. Sportingbet and Sports Alive are the other two that I mainly use, both are pretty ok, Jive was spot-on though it pays to have a selection, with regards to prices but also sometimes (particularly Sportingbet) they will offer markets that are unavailable elsewhere.

Pinnacle will put on the top of the markets what the limit per bet is. That doesn't mean you can't have multiple bets, they don;t mind. Pinny also do state soccer leagues, Foxtel Cup soccer, SEABL basketball (whatever the fuck that is)
Sportsalive are quite good since the merger and with big Gerard Daffy involved
Sportsbet is wait and see now that Paddy Power are in control, Probably will go downhill with them involved. Same deal with IAS with Paddy pulling the strings.Sportsbet have a lot of the Aussie smaller markets - WAFL. SAFL. VFL. QAFL. country VIC AFL leagues, state soccer leagues
The TAB will always let you on, both TAB Sportsbet and Luxbet
Its best to have multiple accounts and use Sportspunter

i reckon sometimes getting dicked around seems to go in cycles, then they work out they are pissing too many people off and stop for a while, sometimes it just seems to depend on the operator processing your bet.
racing odds, betstar, domebet and flemington sports bet are all slightly less known others that i have used without any problems.

I reckon betchoice is close to my favourite.

Second - why the bad wrap on Paddy Power? Have never considered using them, but just interested because I understand they are acquisitive at the moment - is it just a corporate aggregation play that has resulted in sub-standard service?
Also, Betezy, signed up with Titansbet (obviously white-labelled Betezy product) and lost interest immediately - never placed a wager. Is the whole Betezy operation some form of 2 bit shop?

Centrebet are now toilet. Looking for a buyer so they have tightened the reins. Winners are getting restricted and bets are being chopped.
Betchoice are now pissweak and gutless
Sportsalive are now crap
Only the TAB is worthwhile now.
The Australian books are now much like the British books - restrict accounts, cut bet sizes, cut prices, etc. You don't have to win a lot, just be a constant winner and/or constantly get top price. The TAB cops a bad wrap from punters, but there are 2 things that are positive - they hire book makers wth an opinion and not book managers, and they won't cut your account.
For the football season, make sue you have a Pinnacle account and the TAB, and hopefully Betfair liquidity grows
