Well, looks like my perennial curse is at work on the Keystone Capetowners.

So, who does everyone like for the SR champion now two months in?

All I see is Crusaders and Chiefs.  Leaning the Whitelocks as their tour in SA missing their top folk was highly impressive.  This leads me to think they can win anytime, anywhere.....and when their top trio come back....look out.

Personal favoritism aside, who is your best choice to take the chocolates?

Have to say would not surprise me if came down to the saders and Chiefs. That would be an awsome final and really are the 2 best teams far and ahead

Snake, what's the Chiefs historical home advantage been like?  If the Crusaders and Chiefs meet, most likely it will be at the Chiefs.  Will this be the deciding factor you reckon?

well i dont think can really go on that as the Chiefs for a while were not strong and the saders were the best team in the comp and light years ahead.

However in the last few seasons perhaps 3 the Chiefs have been super good at home and i do believe does give them a large advantage to play at home. Hamilton is a rugby city and the fans really turn out.

From personal experience i was at the semi last year (couldnt get tickets for the final) and it was just awsome. I even cranked out the old mooloo mooloo chant and the crowd really got into it.

But so far from what i have seen this season the saders have shown that when they are interested they can play well but have lacked concentration at times.

Chiefs may not have all the best stars but they have the best attitude and really play well as a team.

Carter back this week for the force game. More AB's to follow in the coming weeks.
saders next 3 games are: Force - Highlanders - Rebels.
I expect them to become the team to beat over the next month.

Well to say they are going to become the team to beat when they are playing 3 of the 4 worest teams in the competition is just stupid. Really come on. They will all be easy beats anythink short of 13 point wins is a joke.

Playing those 3 teams does not make you the team to beat. Until proven otherwise right now the Chiefs Brumbies (somewhat after last weeks game) Sharks. These are the teams to beat as of right now.

Very bizarre but this season is looking like a two-horse race. The second-tier of Sharks, Reds, Bulls, and Stormers do not inspire any long-lasting confidence.

And I can't see any of those four traveling to NZ and beating either the Chiefs or Crusaders in a finals match.

Yea the Chiefs and saders are well out and in front. But still wait to see what happens once the mid season break is over. Because a lot of them will be ABs and wont get the break that many of the Chiefs will. Chiefs should be a lot more fresh going into this final rounds

Remember the sharks barely made the playoffs last year but got healthy and got momentum at the right time, much like any sport that is the key to success. Obviously chiefs and crusaders are the clear cut favourites but any team has the potential to do what the sharks did last year including themselves. Wouldn't surprise me if it were the bulls or the reds who put together a wee run.

Playing those 3 teams does not make you the team to beat. Until proven otherwise right now the Chiefs Brumbies (somewhat after last weeks game) Sharks. These are the teams to beat as of right now.

I wasn't pointing towards the easy beats giving anyone reassurance that the saders have what it takes.. More that the team have been depleted of their leaders and have competed well against some of the best teams in the comp (Canes/Bulls/Sharks/Stormers).
With the quality still yet to boost the side (and an easy run over the coming month), I think they will be the side teams fears coming into round 12.

Didn't factor the mid season rep games. fair point

That's a big point! The Aussie teams were being discounted before the season even began because of the Lions Tour. Surely, at the very least, the Chiefs will be fresher going into the business end of the season, as you said.

    Ok, I'm convinced.

Gonna line up a side bet on the Chiefs parlayed with some other cheeky garbage.  Hahaha
