Hurricanes in some problems with Nonu and Hore not wanted for next year, so doubt that they will play, and if so, may not be in the right mood to play. The 'canes have been inconsistent and with Smith also out, cannot see how they will cope with the pace of Sivivatu, Muliaina and Masaga, as their defence has been porous during the year and have allowed 28 points to the Force and 27 points to the Lions in winning their last 2 games. The Chiefs will make them pay, as they have won 3 of their last 4 games, and pushed the Crusaders all the way. Hard to see the Hurricanes containing them here, and with the Chiefs back row (Messam, Latimer and Lee) driving through the rucks, Chiefs look too strong here.

Giteau plays his last home game for the Brumbies so they will looking to send him out on a high. They were very good in beating the reds last week by 8 points in Brisbane, and will be looking for some revenge after losing to the Rebels earlier in the season. As for the Rebels, they are coming off a 40-3 pounding from the Stormers, and it looks like they are starting to feel the effects of a long season, which is their first in this competition, and their depth will be tested. They also lost by 20 points to the Cheetahs and 37 points to the Bulls, so they have been hammered of late. Cipriani comes back in and like the Brumbies forwards to test his defence. Can see a blowout here

Dragons are decimated and get the feeling that they expect to lose this with just 5 players who would normally start for them, to face the Titans here. While the Titans lose two players, Harrison and Bird, they do get Laffranchi back, and they need to win this one to get them back off the bottom and looking for a semi final spot. The Dragons have lost too much in playmaking ability and experience, and the Titans, though have been poor, should be far too good for them

Warriors have been far the more consistent side between these two teams, and like their forwards to lay the platform for them here. Marshall showed some form last week, but goes to a ground where he has not won in 3 attempts, as well as the Tigers themselves have only won once in the last 10 years there. Tigers have been inconsistent this year and like the Warriors to pounce on their mistakes which they tend to make quite often.

Broncos missing the guts of their side, and though their fills in during the year have done the job earlier in the season, they have yet to win without their star players this season. Raiders too have their share of injuries, but like them to come into this game very angry after allowing a 22-0 lead against the Cowboys slip last week, and with a very good forward pack, they can make some good yards down the middle. Also they have a decent record in Brisbane with wins in 4 of their last 8 games there, so they are a good chance to win this, and win it well if their forwards dominate

Could not believe it myself. Watching the game and up 22-4 and cruising with 15 minutes to go. Then their defence went AWOL and allowed 4 tries to lose the game.

Down 24-0 and did well to get back to 24-24, but lose in extra time.
