Storm Vs Panthers Question

Hi Guys,

Don't normally start threads here as my knowledge on NRL is very limited, but I was wondering what people's thoughts were on this game for Sat night because the way I'm seeing this is...

- After a second half fade out against the Eels last week the Pather's will place greater prep on this week;

- Pather's have struggled down south lately so again greater 'want' to change this pattern;

- Melb are losing player's left right and centre which doesn't hold well as the rest of the season continues;

- And finally now that the dust has settled regarding their chances of getting their premiership medals back....what do they really have to play for now that State of Origin is over?

Thought's please but I'm more than happy to take a side at +2.5 that is looking to finish in the top 2 after falling apart last week and reveresing a few trends from above so again their prep (which I believe is still the most important ingredient to sports success come game day) will be greater this week than on an average week throughout the year.  

Depends if Lord Lewis plays(Luke lewis)


People can either back the Panthers now at this price and hope to God Lewis plays or wait for confirmation and back the Panthers at a worse price.


Panthers aren't much chop without Lewis IMO

Melbourne still look "FAIRLY" motivated......People were bagging them last Sat night, i backed them and i was happy with there "MOTIVATION" which was the biggest concern.

There was no issue with there motivation, they didnt conceed a try for what 70 minutes? The 2 tries they did conceed were from fluke lucky kicks which no matter how motivated u are would almost be impossible to defend...

Yes they werent that good with the ball but the conditions were wet......

I think they were further motivated in the game cause they were playing for that trophy, Michael Moore trophy.....i think thats his name......

Now, this game they dont have anything to play for....

Do they say,

"ok we only have a few games left together for ever and lets try and finish good simply for the fact it will be the last few times we will play together",

Or

They have been to Perth, Adelaide, NZ, Sydney for Origin etc and all this travel catches up to them and they say stuff it?

I like the over if the total is arounf 42-43.....

Put it this way, i was alot more filthy with the effort from the Cows on Mon night than the Storm on Sat...

Even when Canberra scored 40 in the 1st half against Knights on Sun, the Tigs looked more likely to score off every possesion, it was just some really really bad final execution which basically stopped them from doing it

Lord Lewis your kidding right? I think the Panthers are overrated and its only a matter of time they will fall apart this team can only score off kicks. Once the finals start and if they are in the top 4 i would predict they get bundled out like the titans last year.

As for the game against the Storm I think the Storm will win

He might have played in all those positions but that just shows how crap the talent is at penrith. Look at their last two performances they were shocking this team doesnt deserve to be in the eight. Jennings the "Superstar" probably your best player how did he go against the storm.

Lewis had a great game, just a pity he had to throw that pass into the grandstand.
