Isn't pivot the northern hemisphere term for halfback? Or is that stand off?

Anyway the games I have watched Catalans play last year he was definitely playing halfback

Stand-off is 5/8 up there, but I was referring to pivot down here i.e. 5/8.

I thought he played 5/8.

No worries, he was playing half
