Yeah should be X, motivation is a powerful edge in the NRL. The only reason I didn't back Canterbury today was the fact the value was completely sucked out of them via the enormous price movement that saw them start favourites by ko.
Well and truly backs to the wall for them next week and Wests winning by 50 only sweetens the deal.
The other 'M' word thats important though is 'Means', ie does a team have the means to get it done. So pending key injuries ect.
Next week looks like a bit of a crossroads game for the dogs in terms of their season. If they can't muster something big, like they have done twice previously this season when they were backed into a corner (ie against the Roosters in round 4 when they were 0-3 & against the Tigers a month ago when they'd strung together some poor performances) it could be time to stick a fork in them.
Next week might just tell us whether thd dogs are prepared to dig in and fight for their season or whether they've succumbed to the easy option.
