I will wait closer to game time and see if the line increases for the chooks.

Even though Minichello has been picked on the wing I would be very surprised if he played there all game, my point being is I don't think he will make a huge difference to the chooks make up tonight and his comeback alone has exaggerated the chooks claim for victory.

I have claimed all year the chooks backline has been its weakest link but I think they match up well with the rabbits tonight. The warriors scored plenty of their tries last week out wide and no doubt the rabbits will look to do the same believing there will be plenty of opportunities up against newbie Symonds and Kenny Dowell who at times have been very questionable in defense.

Sutton has been on fire of late and I believe will be the difference tonight, can't see who and how the chooks will contain him tonight. The halves combo of Jones and Pierce doesn't really strike much fear into opposition teams but the rabbits can't afford to take that for granted and allow Pierce to gain confidence.

Rabbits have the slight advantage in the forwards IMO, chooks are the pack that will have to aim up which brings me to the benches with the chooks having no real muscle coming off the bench unlike Crocker for souths or a x-factor player like Wing.

The only thing in the roosters favour is they have a great record against souths but I don't think they get the points tonight. The game is there to be won by the rabbits if they wan't it bad enough.

Great insight Oz, it is the respective forwards and the benches that has me leaning toward the Rabbitohs, if they can't win tonight than that playing roster and coahing staff should be dismantled.

The Roosters bench is obviously weak, with Soliola the only player of note.  The Rabbitohs bench looks dangerous, and even if Crocker is a withdrawal Tyrrell has shown that he has adequate amounts of mongrel in him.  I just can't see how the Roosters will contain Luke and Wing late in the game, for me, they are the major difference.

As for the respective forwards, well, Asotasi / Pettybourne / Fa'alogo should walk all over the Roosters as I don't expect Mason to back up with another consistent performance.  Fitzgibbon's workrate will be missed greatly.

Agree that Mini's impact shouldn't be too significant, I mean, whilst he has beefed up in the gym his match fitness will be lacking and I wouldn't be surprised if the Rabbitohs test him early to get a sense of preparation.

For me, last week wasn't a great indication of the Roosters attacking ability.  The Warriors were out to throw the ball around and win in a shootout.  If the Rabbitohs are able to aim up like a top eight contender should (ie. Tigers), then the Roosters shouldn't score more than 2 tries and the Rabbits should run out easy winners.

Anyway, appreciate your input Oz.  Lets hope for a fiery Ron Coote Cup match, unlike round 1 where the Roosters were still in training mode.

No worries Gun7, glad I could help in some capacity.

I think this will be a no play for me because I simply would take the roosters with the head start and deep down I think it's the wrong play. Will sit back and watch, won't need a wager on the game to have my blood boiling......

Toyota Cup: the Rabbits opened the day at around -8 and are now at -13.5, approximately 30 minutes before kick off.  I haven't been able to ascertain whether there are major outs for the Roosters team, as far as I know they are per program.  This is huge movement.  Prior to this, I was keen on the Roosters with the points after watching them get up against the Warriors last week, their forward pack providing Towers with a lot of room to move.  The Rabbits have a number of speedsters and are dangerous but a little inconsistent.  Anyway, with this line movement I'm staying well away, somebody knows something..

Anyway, with this line movement I'm staying well away, somebody knows something..

..and now -15.5.  Oh dear, do the books know what they are doing or do they have Lozzie Daley at the controls?

..and back down to -14.5.  I know this is the Toyota Cup, but if the market is this illiquid why the books go near it.

Well, i'd say that the dollars has come from within the Roosters camp, they have opened with three handling errors to gift the Rabbits a couple of tries.  Maybe an inside play, if only we were in the U.S

Rabbits lead 22 - 4 and it's not even half-time yet.  I assume the books are fuming.

Rabbits lead 24 - 4 at halftime.  Roosters have made 5 errors and conceded 4 penalties to grant the Rabbits 62% of possession.

Glad I stayed away from the Roosters on this one, something ain't right.

My mistake, 65% of possession.  Non-televised Toyota Cup, stay well away, unless you're on the inside.

Toyota Cup Jeremy, under 20's, precedes the NRL match.
