Friday Night...

Think we see the same blueprint as last season with the Dragones getting off to a strong start, failing at the end whilst 'Doesn't'matta plods away, coming on strong late in the season. Revenge angle applies due to St. George getting assholed early in last year's finals by the Plodders. Not as strong an angle downunder but an angle nonetheless that I think carries some clout in this encounter. Treading lightly being the opening round...

Saturday Night...

Wanted badly to take the Novacastrians but just too many question marks. Like they say 'If in doubt, take the points' but just couldn't bring myself to do it considering the whole squad could go down for trafficking narcotics at some point...

Decided to make a play at the Shire. Should be an electric atmosphere. Line is exceptionally low taking into account recent trial form and the fact that it's the best Rugby League club in the world being the Melbourne Storm of course. Should be at least 6 or 7. Both coaches haven't lost in the first round. First home game of the season for Cronulla, expecting a close battle throughout and maybe a Sharks straight up win aswell...

The 'Jersey-gate' match. Off a somewhat impressive season there is talk about that the Titans have a strong chance to win the Premiership. Warriors on the otherhand are a good chance too win the spoon according to the experts.
As a NZ supporter I know the Warriors are a dangerous squad when written off much like last night's Novacastrians.
Too many points to lay in the opening round when one (including the bookies) has not got a good read on either squad. warriors have enough 'game-breakers' too keep thiongs close if not win outright. Will take my chances on the '2010 wooden spooners'.
Fresh from the 'Jersey-gate' files, the Warriors have managed to get their predominantly blue 15 year anniversary strip approved for the game instead of the black home strip the Titans were trying to force them to wear.

All the much hyped clubs have failed miserably so far this season and we get another one tonight being the Tigers. Another classic case of paper champions for mine. Lote Tuqiri, lol. Should be a great game though. Wouldn't at all be surprised to see this bugger won by field goal in extras...

5-1-0 in the 1st round. Bum still hurts from the implosion of the Seabirds on Monday night. 2 points in the second half against a noted weak defense is inexcusable. Round 2's lines should be very interesting...
