Another weekend of NRL 'dodginess'. Awesome.

North Queensland Cowboys at South Sydney Rabbitohs

The play...

Rabbitohs -6.5 $1.65 (3 units)

'Bought' 3.5 points, didn't want to lay the 10 even though I think they take the Cows to the f'ing cleaners. Thurston's boot the reason, don't like laying more than 8 versus above average kickers in the NRL (just a little 'idiosyncrasy' I've picked up in league the last couple of years after numerous 'mooses' and the like). Everyone starting to get on the Bunnies' d**k which is a concern but just think they have too much mojo right now for an inconsistent Cowboys outfit that are 24 hours removed from an emotional funeral. Actual line is also rather 'strong' so to speak...

BOL Bud i also like the Bunnies for the game but have taken the big boy option at -10, hope it does not come back to bit me in the arse.

Leaned Cows last week based on the Bunnies run of high profile games but they barely broke a sweat in Brisbane this past Friday and will want to prove themselves yet again versus the 'Aussie' pack of North Queensland. Hate to say it but this team is for real, well coached with a strong cohesive structure, Cows are the opposite - talent to burn but at times looks at odds with each other. The wannabe Sheens approach by Henry isn't working. 

Line that high for a reason I'm guessing, not sure the last time Thurston was this big of an underdog.

Not too mention the Cows have also had an emotional week.

Will take my chances with the clearly better and currently firing team...

Sydney Roosters at Manly Sea Eagles

The play...

Roosters $1.75 (3 units)

Manly off a bruiser game down at WIN vs the Dragons that very much won on defense (354 total tackles). Tough ask for the Chooks to win at Brooky but I think they can here given they're the somewhat 'fresher' team and in my mind, the better overall team. Team needs a 'solid win' to prove they're for real. Negatives are it's only the Chooks third game of the season, last two roadies were the Warriors (W) and Raiders (L). Will take my chances. Opening and subsequent spread says a bit as well...
