Midweek rugby, I love the concept. Haven't been following the Lions tour, so I really shouldn't be going near this, but with the stars being rested for the Springboks match-up, I'm happy to take the makeshift Kings with the line of 21.5. That's a lot of points, so whilst I expect those playing for the Lions to prove a point and push for selection - the wind, the motivation of the Kings administration (Super 14) and the players lining up for the Kings is enough for me.

Not comfortable with a number of the decisions in this match, most of all the penalty try that was awarded from the scrum - can the ref honestly say that a try was the only possible result but for the infringement. In addition, 2 Kings players received yellow cards. The Kings bombed a number of early opportunities, an early try would have ensured the cover as would have some accurate kicking from the Kings.
Anyway, the Kings score a great try and at 20 - 8 with less than 6 minutes remaining it'd be very unlucky to lose from here.
