I was thinking about it.....in league the captain isn't as crucial as alot of sports eg. cricket where you have to make alot of important decisions

but still we are talking about a guy here who struggles with a 3 minute radio interview

Also I'm struggling to think of a successful captain who was a winger in league or union

Too much 'public' bagging of this decision. Mannering is a tool and shitty captain anyway. Team misses Luck alot more. Yeah Manu is as thick as two short planks but I could see the big ugly prick having a blinder. Whare, Taufua and Matai are just as thick, if not thicker so that's 3x the thickness at the back for Manly. Who are the Seagles now anyhow ? They miss the classy finishing ability of Stewart a ton, could see the Warriors winning in a fairly called game but therein lies the problem for NZ...

Not winger but a few good centre's in league

I am also convinced Coach Bluey is on the take. What he did last week, taking off the Warriors three best forwards when they were up 18 was beyond a joke. Dude is lost as an NRL coach and should have stuck to coaching the poofters in Super League. Had NZW kept Cleary around for another year, they would have made the final again and possibly won...
