U said the NRL wont get that, The NRL clearly outrates the AFL on fox.
So, why wont the NRL get that if it clearly outrates the AFL?

Losing the NRL will be far more costly for Fox than losing the AFL based on the ratings.
Fox would have budgeted on how much to leave for the NRL.

U dont think the NRL are gonna put another team or 2 in the comp like the AFL did with GC and GSW so conviniently around the time they are negotiating the TV deal? My bet is they have a team in either Adelaide or in particular Perth which would be a perfect fit for Super Sat as they could show all 3 games live.
Furthermore, the NRL is a main sport in Auckland.
Auckland > Perth + Adelaide

Also when questioned today, David Leckie said this impacts in no way for them to bid for the NRL
I agree gallop is bad, but, he was simply a puppet for News Limited

Based purely on TV ratings, The NRL is a far far more popular sport than AFL.
The AFL have a strong market in WA and SA, but there are only about 3 people in each of those states.
The NRL also reaches strongly to NZ and England.
The AFL is very strong in Vic, SA, WA and moderate in QLD.
The NRL's main strong hold is in the largest state, population wise and very very strong in QLD, 2rd largest state.
