Yes, the storm have more GF experience, but so did the Roosters in 04 when they played the previous 2 GFs prior to the 04 GF. The dogs had none and the dogs won.
I also saw a stat that the Storm when leading at front have a extremely good record at end up winning the game. The roosters in the 04 GF also had a ridicolously good record when leading at half time. At half time in the 04 game, the roosters were winning 13-6...The dogs won...
Dont get to obsessed with stats.
The first 20 mins will be key. Melbourne have thrived and preyed on opposition teams not turning up and putting a stinker in, ie, Sea Eagles last week and Souths the week before.
Actually, since the slump, who have Melbourne beat? A rubbish Panthers team, Sharks on the siren, Tigers missing half their team and the 2 semis against 2 teams that simply didnt turn up.
Storm are a very good team, but they have had a very soft run the past 6 weeks. Storm are very very good in Melbourne. It is different up here, there will be 75k people going for the dogs.
The dogs game plan doesnt suit the Storm at all. The storm like it when you try and take them up the middle, they get numbers in the tackle and wrestle you to death. The dogs forwards ball movement will nullify that to large extent...
This will be close and a stroke of luck here and there might determine the result..
But i am going for my team that i have loved and supported all my life...
