Thankfully, Newcastle can lock in some wins when the play the:

Panthers in Penrith (Round 1)

Manly in Manly (Round 3)

Dragons in Newcastle (Round 4)

Sharks in Newcastle (Round 6)

I would suggest Newcastle need to be at least 4-4, certainly no worse than 3-5, after this opening stretch.

I would also suggest that Tinkler approaches Gallop about the possibility of forfeiting the Canberra game.

No point risking injury by travelling down to Canberra to get smashed
