Here we go for all who care.
 
First match see the Naki boys head south to clash the Mako's from Tasman.
 
The home side is opening at $2.20 and i see more value in them than then backing Taranaki. Both squads are based around local club players with little influence of any NZ star players. The Naki use to offer NZ some solid players in the past however many have moved franchises to gain greater media coverage thus potiential S14 selections and possible All black chances.
 
Tasman a former 2nd div team a few seasons back have always represented the provience well and with the potiental re-shaping of the competition next season i believe they will do there best this season to help keep themselves in the limelight.
 
the naki have no waldrom and no eaton in tonights game so i'll go the home dog here.
 
Potiental bets are TAS 1-12 @ $3.25
                           TAS H2H @ $2.20
                           TAR 1-12 @ $2.80
 
And a try scorer eachway i like; Shayne Austin to score here for Taranaki @ $2.25 and Kade Poki  fo Tasman @ $3.00
 
 
Due to this being the first game of the season and it being week one i'll play it safe.

lines moved out to $2.50 H2H.....
 
only reason is cause on Naki's name.

Not the best of start...a couple of very average teams

total there was won $190 bet $140 + $30 on Tas @ Half so profit of $20

how often do you follow this? won the other night with Taranaki on the spread, i read at planetrugby that they like bop to win by 8 and wellington to possibly go down to the wire, why would the line be so high then i wonder

the first couple of weeks always are tough to pick but the season is long.

Juniordawg these prices are at my local TAB....if you fish around you can get better odds.

bevoaustintx this is a yearly tradition for me (i live in NZ)...i have been betting it for 4 years now however i have followed it since i was a child.

Note that some of the better clubs have their All Blacks not playing due to internation matches, thus making the competion more even at some stages.

 

better luck tomorrow for me....Just hope the dragons cover 5.5 other wise it could be a sorry night.

Wow i am in a runt here i am nearly capping out my rugby budget here .

I am a North Harbour Fan from way back so i wont touch a winner here however i do like the boys to cover 16pts but this will be a no play on a winner.

Harbour wingers/outside backs are dynomite on offence and would be hard pressed not to see one of them score.

knocked another $87 off my deficite.

now only down $48.....not bad considering i was down $220 at one point.
