Merritt is a journeyman. He is what he is and that's just not a top player. Just ok. Occasionally shows up near top of leaderboard but generally is not very good. His last 5 starts has 3 MC a 39 and 51. Merritt has played this event 9x and has 5MC but also has a 4/15/18/69
